Perfect location for a self-catering stay while exploring a lovely town.

A beautifully renovated apartment with every facility required for a self-catering stay. Outlook onto a well-kept, green space that allowed us to dry our washed clothes in the fresh air. Having two bathrooms was a bonus - 4 women staying together can challenge bathroom facilities. Location was perfect - a short stroll to the shopping street. Hosts were welcoming and friendly, offering local knowledge that enhanced our stay.

Great place to stay to discover Orkney.

Excellent location very close to the centre of town, but quiet. The property was beautifully furnished and kitted out. There was even a welcome pack of local baked goods. It was super clean.

We were there when storm Floris hit, so the weather wasn't as good as we had hoped.

A brilliant place to stay in Kirkwall on the Orkneys.

A great location, we were just a couple of minutes walk to the town shops, the Bishops and Earls Palaces and the magnificent Cathedral, the Pally has everything you need. We were able to self cater, wash clothes and had a very comfortable stay. The hosts Jemma and Pete are so responsive and just really nice people.

Extremely central location, but quietly tucked off main street. Good-sized bedrooms, comfortable living space with fully-equipped kitchen. Additional sitting area on upper floor, so plenty of room to spread out. Immaculately clean and well-furnished.

Great accommodation in the centre of Kirkwall

Close to the centre of town, with parking not far away from the accommodation. Plenty of room for the five of us and very well equipped with everything you need (including a selection of local treats as a welcome gift). Friendly and responsive host who ensured a minor issue was resolved the same day. Highly recommended and would stay again when visiting Orkney.

One of the best BnB’s we’ve had the pleasure of staying at.

We’ve traveled and stayed in many places all over. This flat was fantastic! It was immaculately clean, comfortable, well stocked, and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay again. Great location, within walking distance to the main area of Kirkwall. Right next to the beautiful cathedral.

Great! Fantastically central location opposite St. Magnus Cathedral

Roomy, nice and clean accommodation. Cookies and sweets provided. Well-equipped kitchen. Extremely friendly people. We had a flat tyre on our Europcar rental, and Europcar was absolutely useless, but Jemma called her father-in-law who gave it a shot, but the tyre was too far gone. So when that didn’t work, they gave us the number of a tyre service they knew (Iain Laird Tyre Services), who promptly picked up the car on the opposite end of the island, brought it to his garage, and replaced the tyre in 5 minutes on a Saturday night when everything else was closed. It’s only thanks to the wonderful Jemma and Iain Laird (who was also a relative or friend of the family from what I understood) that we were able to continue our vacation unhindered! Absolutely fantastic!

Loved the location so central, right at the heart of kirkwall. Nice and warm annexe accommodation with everything you may need for a self catered holiday on the island. We could come and go as we wished. The check in and check out times were perfect for the sailings we caught. We would be happy to stay here again, brilliant little place in the center of the town.

The parking wasn't great. The small car park across the road was OK but it was clearly meant for visitors of the St magnus center. We were able to reverse our car to sit right beside the entrance to the place for packing the car before we left.
