The property was clean and well provisioned with everything we needed. Evelyn also provided us with milk, butter and bread etc to get us started. It's in an excellent location close to the main high street as well as tourist attractions. There's a bus stop just round the corner and the bus station is literally another 5 -10 minutes walk away. There's a Tescos within 10 minutes walk from the house. We'd happily go back.

For us the bed/mattress was too soft but that's a personal preference. Parking on occasion was a bit tight depending on time of day but at night it was usually no problem. None of these things put us off.

The location was ideal for us to explore Orkney by bicycle. The house was in a nice quiet street only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Kirkwall and very convenient for the terminal for ferries to the northern islands. The house was spacious, comfortable, very clean and well maintained. The owner very kindly supplied us with some local produce which got our stay off to a great start. There was a large rear garden with a shed which we were able to store our bicycles in. Good communications from the owner about how to access the house and where we could store our bikes.

Really good location, very easy walk to everything in Kirkwall. Excellent communication throughout the stay. Lovely little house, perfect for our stay.
