The location was fantastic, with beautiful views across the loch. We also slept really well, as the beds were so comfortable.

Super cute cottage, clean and well kept. Location was right on the main bus line.
Only 1 bathroom made mornings a challenge, but we managed and well worth it for such a gem of a place!

This cottage was perfect! Great location (between the ferry and Kirkwall), beautiful quiet and peaceful. The cottage was a great size for our group of 4. Everyone had their own beds (two sharing a room) and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and they had very thoughtful left us some milk. We loved our time here and were sad to leave.
Nothing! It was fantastic.

The cottage is delightful, situated on a quiet road on the outskirts of a small village. The view across the small loch offered something different to see every day. The location is perfect for exploring the islands of Orkney, and the vicinity to Kirkwall and its airport was perfect. The bungalow was perfect for my mother, who has mobility issues.
We had to leave!!

The cottage was perfect for us. And the location was great! We were met on arrival and Ronnie was great at keeping any info to us! The cottage is very well equipped. The back garden is massive!! Stunning views. Slight noise from traffic passing but didnt bother us at all! We would certainly stay again!

It felt like home, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Ronnie and Morag went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Even left beautiful locally-made biscuits for us.
Plenty of heating in cottage with clear instructions on how to use.
Large backyard area with rhubarb growing which we were invited to pick and cook. Delicious!
Lovely location and outlook over a small loch with a walking track.
Nothing. All great!

At first we were disappointed not to be staying in Kirkwall, but decided it was nice to be in a peaceful place and still close to town.
washer dryer and a lovely drying rack.
The layout is a bit choppy with 2 bedrooms on opposite side of house from bathroom.

We had a wonderful time at Park Cottage.
3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom all very clean. Even biscuits and milk were provided!
Large garden and seating area behind the house, only 10 minutes from Kirkwall.
The host was very friendly, welcomed us and showed us around the house.
We would love to go there again.
Many thanks Ronnie

Park cottage comprised 3 bedrooms, separate lounge, kitchen/dining and utility room. There was pkenty of room, good heating, views across the lake and quiet. Private off street parking was also provided. Kitchen was well equipped and our contact person was very helpful and met us on site. There were welcome gifts as well.
No internet and poor phone service in the area.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating of our working arrangements / needs. The house is in a beautiful location with very friendly neighbours.
Would have been very useful having WiFi for work as we had to take a lot of calls out in the street (but at the same time it was very nice to disconnect for a change!)

The cottage had everything we could have possibly needed, even a huge back garden, perfect for children to run around in. The owners were really nice and very helpful, even going to the trouble of keeping us up-to-date with the local travel news. The cottage is on the edge of the village, overlooking a loch where, during our stay, there were adult swans with their brood of cygnets. It was incredibly peaceful. We will definitely be back.
I don't have any complaints other than wishing I had booked in for longer.

The location. The nice lady who met us on arrival. She showed us all we needed to know. This cottage had everything. No matter what you had forgotten it was there for us to use. Essentials on arrival such as local biscuits, Milk , Tea and Coffee. The garden. The cottage is much bigger than it looks from the pictures. It fits five people easy and would be very good for families. All in all very pleased. Would stay again and would recommend.
Nothing really. All was better than expected and everything was functional. If i was really pushed another TV in the twin room would be my only wish. First class.

Great location with ample parking.
Only a few minutes drive from Kirkwall.
Lovely views, plenty of garden space.
Well equipped cottage, very comfortable and clean - loved the reclining chairs in lounge!
Fantastic value !
Loved that we could book it from a Mon to Thurs - flexible booking periods much appreciated.
Internet connection would have been good- I understand why the owners chose not to install ( meaning folk have a good break) but as a carer for two people in two different households, having access to the internet means I can keep in touch quickly and easily. I t would also mean being able to research/book places to visit on the island at the last minute. (the 4G signal was variable around the cottage)

Great wee cottage. Everything you could need in it and very clean and cosy. Less than 10 mins from the ferry at St Margaret's Hope and just 5 miles from Kirkwall. Right next to a loch with swans and cygnets and 50 yards from the sea where we saw seals. Super for bird watchers or dog walkers. Bus stop right outside the door and excellent bus service direct to Kirkwall and beyond.
Owners were very pleasant and left milk tea coffee and biscuits. Even let us have some of their home grown rhubarb from the garden.
3 bedrooms and good dining area so ideal for a family. We even got good weather!!

Nice cottage with everything you need. Morag was super nice and showed us everything, even provided us some fancy yummy cookies and milk. The cottage was very clean, you can sit outside if the weather allowes it and you can do some nice walks in the area.
-no dishwasher, but otherwise the kitchen was very clean and well equipped

Although we were only a couple, we hired the 3 bedroom cottage at a sensible cost for just the two of us. A good location, nice views around the cottage. A classy modern kitchen set in an old-fashioned cottage. The host left us some tasty biscuits and a pint of milk, and we were also able to pick a good bunch of rhubarbs from their back garden!
All good for just two of us.

De plek en de mogelijkheid om te koken en zelf een was te doen.
De cottage is qua bedden voor 4 volwassenen naar mijn mening niet geschikt. Voor een gezin met kinderen (max 3), voldoet het wel.
