Lovely and relaxing stay.

Very quiet, comfortable, easy to wind down and relax. With all the joys of Orkney around you.

Only problem was we couldn't work out how to adjust the heating, so, it was a bit cold at times.

The bed were comfortable and the shower, the bath towels were excellent.

The curtains could do with the blackout lining for the summer month. Lack of privacy and view.

A thoughtfully run, environmentally aware bakery and pizza bistro, with two lovely, warm and well-maintained cottages. In a quiet Orkney hamlet yet easy to reach everywhere you’d want to go. Excellent hosts.

Just great and really thought through on all fronts by the hosts. Everything you could possibly want on orkney, if you have the means to travel, like exploring and appreciate good food and lodgings.

Beautiful getaway with great and unique special neolithic sites to visit.

Fantastic location near the beach and pizza restaurant. Local shop very nearby that provided cash back facility. The owners were very friendly and helpful with visit recommendations and local knowledge.

Not much! Maybe a light outside to look for as I arrived at night and it was difficult to find with just the postcode. A light that is a different colour perhaps?

Cosy, happy stay - would highly

Wonderful hosts - friendly, welcoming and helpful. Beautifully located cottage with the bonus (on an island that has few restaurants) of a pizzeria and superb bakery on site. The cottage is characterful, well-equipped and cosy. Fresh bread on arrival and the wood burner set up to light. Hot and plentiful water and power shower and fresh towels and well-laundered sheets. Excellent stay - highly recommend

Warm welcome and easy access to historical sites

Welcoming, friendly helpful owners. Bonus of delicious freshly cooked pizzas, to buy, on site for supper one evening. Cottage is compact and cosy with lovely bedding. Easy access to many historical sites and Stromness and Kirkwall.

The lounge chairs and the dining area would be more comfortable for 2 rather than three

Beautifully appointed little cottage. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. The gorgeous freshly baked bread and pizzas were a real bonus

Very comfortable

It was very comfortable and warm. We did not use the stove but it would be nice in cold weather. The kitchen was very well equipped but a bit too compact for complicated cooking. The bathroom worked well, with a good shower and hot water for a bath. Easy to contact host. Croissant were wonderful and very big.

The cottage is compact so you need to be tidy, even with two.

Great accommodation managed by a lovely couple

It was very cosy and comfortable in a very convenient spot to do all the things the island has to offer. Added bonus being the freshly baked bread and pizza on offer made by the very same helpful Ian and Phillipa. Highly recommend for a wonderful holiday away from it all but with all the convenience of modern day living.

Exceptional

Absolutely everything, the cottage, was cosy & immaculate, the location is really good, Phillipa & Ian were fantastic host's , really freindly & helpful . They have 2 lovely pooches, the young one is so pretty & friendly, with a hair do that rocks & then there's Wolfe who is just a wonderfull grumpy old man, thats totally full of character & will love you to bits if you have plenty of dog treats (however beware if you haven't as I'm sure he'd make do with a finger or two 😂). Seriously though, if you do say there, you absolutely must try their home made sour dough pizzas, even if like me pizza isn't your thing (horrible greezy things), these are like no pizza you've ever had before, they are utterly delicious, but oh my word the cheese garlic bread WOW it's simply one of the nicest things I've had the pleasure of eating for years Yum Yum Yum!!! Oh & did I mention the sour dough breads & croissants, because they are pretty good too!,😊😊
