Wonderful holiday house.

Great location with beautiful views. Very homely feel to cottage, warm and comfortable. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Beautiful linen. Excellent hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Excellent local knowledge which helped us plan our week. Location of the house made it easy to explore the mainland. Unfortunately we couldn’t book ferries to explore other islands, but there was more than enough to do on the mainland.

Very difficult to find anything we didn’t like about Binnaquoy. A little bit difficult to find, perhaps! A sign at the end of the road up to the cottage would be helpful, but otherwise we thought the accommodation was excellent.

Bonnie peedie view

Exceptional location not far from my sister and very bonnie view in the morning. The cottage was refurbished to an exceptional standard. The ladies who own the cottage were above and beyond friendly and accommodating. Can't rate highly enough!!!

Perfect base for exploring Orkney

This is a perfect base for exploring Orkney. Close to the main site, but also tucked away and quiet and peaceful, with lovely views. The property is tastefully decorated, warm and cosy with everything you need for a short or long stay. We really enjoyed just relaxing here for a day when storm Amy hit. The owners are just lovely. Warm and welcoming and were there for any questions we had. We would very much like to come back to Orkney and would definitely stay here again.

An amazing stay in Orkney

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful cottage. It's cosy and relaxing, with an amazing view, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Orkney. Thank you to Maureen for her warm, friendly welcome and advice, including booking ahead to popular sites. Also, I need to add the kind touch of the Orkney tablet, shortbread, etc. well received after our long journey.

Home from home

Home away from home. There was everything we needed in the warm and cosy home. Comfy bed, fluffy towels, great kitchen. A great base for exploring.

No apps on tv, like Netflix. Very minor issue. Would not put me off visiting again.

Binnaquoy was such an exceptional and comfortable place to stay on this beautiful island!

We adored the amenities of the property as well as the prompt helpfulness of the owners. The bathtub and the dryer were very much appreciated. The facilities were spotless and the location was exactly what we expected (what a view!). We loved the kitchen food amenities that were provided, too. Thank you so much for contributing so much to our wonderful stay on Orkney!

This holiday accommodation far exceeded our expectations, everything has been thought. Hosts very helpful and friendly. Lovely flowers pots around the property. The views are stunning, we were so lucky with the weather which was a huge bonus. We will definitely be back to this property.

A lovely home from home. Everything you need is here and we received such a lovely welcome from Frances. She gave really useful advice about the sights and history of Orkney which really helped us to make the most of this wonderful island. 100% recommend. Thank-you.

Perfect stay with everything you need

Incredibly well furnished and equipped for a holiday cottage - far better than the bare minimum you can get with some. Beautiful location with scenic view across the water.

Orkney is a wonderful place, steeped in history, easy to get around being a relatively small island, most journeys took

Comfortable, clean & very well equipped. Owners were really helpful, suggested some places to visit we didn’t know about. Great view from the front of the property.

Probably should have bought groceries in Kirkwall before arriving at property but it is only 15/20 minute drive. Local shop 5 minute drive quite well supplied for basics. This wasn’t really a problem with property more being organised beforehand.

Perfection for an island stay.

Everything was new and clean. High level of kitchen equipment. Power sockets everywhere. Heating excellent and easily controlled. Lovely views. Super kind and helpful owners.

A home away from home in a perfect spot to explore orkney from

I can't rate this place highly enough. It has everything you need to feel right at home. The king room can be made into twins if you ask. There's a tv in nearly every room with Netflix if you have an account. There's games and books. The kitchen is better stocked than my own. The views are stunning, the beds comfortable and it's the perfect location to explore orkney from. Very central. The hosts are lovely and even allowed us to check in a little early. There was tea/coffee facilities and milk in the fridge along with some orkney snacks. It is also so quiet you only hear the sheep behind the cottage.

Not so much issues as things to be aware of/feedback. The garden area isn't completely fenced off so dogs need to be kept on lead. I wasn't clear on what bin was what or how the recycling worked and so some guidance on this would be helpful but again, not really an issue.

The best stay we could’ve asked for!

This unassuming little cottage up a hill, is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. It was cosy comfortable, larger on the inside than the outside. Our welcoming hosts were helpful and very kindly gave us some dinner recommendations. Which were excellent. We’re looking forward to coming back to stay again in the future!

Super Duper

Self catering, will be going again. A definite as is dog friendly and a super location with lots of parking. With a handy local shop a short distance away. Lovely interior which was super warm & cosy and with a BATH too. Brill
