Great Location but bland basic interior

Would be ok if you had been camping and everything was soaking wet and you need some shelter for a night

Bedding and towels were clean.

Very,very basic, no visitor pack on how anything works ie heating, WiFi. No homely touches, everything needs updating. Living room seating uncomfortable. First place I’ve ever stayed and there’s not some tea/coffee. Parking was a guess, outside was permit holders only 8am to 6pm.

Pleasant stop-ff on the way to the Orkneys

This is close to the beach and the centre of town. Easy to find and access, the property is well appointed to cater for people with dogs and/or children. Very reasonably prices and a lovely host. We would stay here again.

Peeling wallpaper, no table and chairs to eat at, drab decor, marked walls, flat pillows, saggy lounge.

Comfortable and well equipped apartment, with shops within walking distance.

Very clean, easy to access on arrival, beds were very comfortable and the shower was really good pressure. Sofa was also very comfortable and the wifi had a great connection.

The pictures showed a washer and dryer, though there was only a washer available when we arrived. It might have be a combination unit but it wasn't very clear. We managed to get a rinse on and use the air dryer over night which mostly did the job to refresh our camping gear.

Excellent location for an overnight stop prior the ferry to Orkney. Very clean and beds comfortable

Downstairs bedroom window didn’t open and it was very warm. Very steep staircase to single bedroom. Insufficient cutlery for 7 people.

The bed was comfy and the apartment was roomy and mostly clean. Was easy to get in

There was rubbish left in the bin under the bench which was still there when we returned 3 days later. A hot plate control on the stove was broken and was turned on whenever the stove was turned on at the wall. Very dangerous and a fire risk. The At h on the door of the washing machine is broken and can only be opened and closed using something like a knife to prise open the latch. There was no tea towel supplied the second time we stayed. Compared to other places we have stayed the apartment is poorly equipped and there was no tea or coffee supplied. Overall disappointing. With just a little maintenance and careful cleaning the apartment would be good.

The property was a bit difficult to find and instructions on parking would’ve been helpful. A welcome pack would’ve been handy particularly on how to work the heating. Cooker has seen better days with a knob missing.

This place is clean with comfy beds and good quality bedding but NO FRILLS.

Location was very good for eating at Ynot, a good quality venue just opposite.

The wash basin in the bathroom was out of action due to the seal on the plug hole having been totally removed. You could lift up the plug socket. Water poured out onto the floor. When reported the owner said, "LOL- waiting for a plumber". We managed.

slightly disapointed

a central location and easy to get to town and beach. it was exceptionally clean and the bedding etc was lovely. Good heating. The kitchen was clean and functional as was the living room. J ust needs some focus on finishing touches and bathroom upgrade.

We were disappointed with some of the levels of detail and bathroom was not in a great state. it had received some decoration. It felt like it had been rushed into use. No warm touches such as pictures/ornaments. The front door was in a shocking state of decor which was the first impression and the handle fell off.

It was OK and I would return

A few points, the outside by the door was overgrown and littered with takeaway trays. A little thought could solve the next few pints. Salt and pepper etc could be available in the cupboard as could soap in the bathroom. One of the dining room chairs was missing 3vscrews, very dangerous. I repaired chair. We had to purchase a can opener as the one in the drawer was useless. Sorting out these little issues will make a big difference

Very basic, the property shown on booking . com was not representative of the property we stayed in. Fridge was not clean, lap trays were filthy. The radiator and shower leaked. Bathroom items were rusty Toilet flush is in need of repair. The kettle switch was broken. Mouldy smells to the property. Very dissatisfied.

Short stay in a comfy and spacious flat.

Spacious and dog friendly - everything we needed in the kitchen

Location was both good and bad. Very central but the area was also quite noisy. People talking loudly outside late in the evening and cars speeding on the road along the river.

There was no tea or coffee, tea towels, hairdryer, hand soap and shampoo, conditioner! Very expensive for what it was! Also there was no information about Wi-Fi, how to use shower or anything in the apartment just lots of pointless information about the restaurant next door that you might never visit.
