Location is ideal for central Kirkwall, on a quiet street only a short walk from the shops, bus stops and ferry port. Comfortable bed and well stocked with kitchen items if you're cooking in the apartment. Lovely local biscuits and milk were left in the welcome box.

There's no covering to the internal bathroom window which goes straight into the bedroom. Maybe putting in some low motion sensor lights in the bathroom could avoid disturbing others when using the bathroom at night. The current plates don't fit in the draining rack. There are a lot of switches and remotes which take a minute to work out what they're all for, detailing these in the visitor guide and adding photos would be a useful addition.

The apartment is beautifully renovated. It looks very elegant. It's in an historic building. It's downtown and still very quiet, away from the crowd of the cruise ships.

I would recommend for improvement very small practical details considering the whole great experience, to include a smaller salad bowl and a dish rack that can hold the thick plates we were scared to brake.

The apartment is very comfortable, everything has been carefully considered. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the shower is modern, clean and powerful with plenty of hot water.
