This is a place we will look to book again should we ever make it back to Stornoway.

This apartment was just what we needed for our short stay in Stornoway. It’s close to shopping and dining, and parking was very close by. The hosts were informative and patient when I asked a million questions. It sleeps up to 4 but it was just two of us and it was a great option for us.

It’s not that I didn’t like it but the tub is high. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the best place for you. Also, one night there seemed to be a party going on outside as it is near several restaurants but things quieted down before it got too late.

Lovely stay in Lido apartment

Location was perfect as you walk to all the main attractions in Stornaway itself including the bars and restaurants.. It was a short 3 min walk from the ferry terminal. The flat had everything needed for a home away from home stay including pots, pans plates etc. The living area in particular was light, airy and very spacious.

We liked everything. A minor suggestion would be the additional of a couple of gin glasses to allow for the enjoyment of any purchases from the gin distillery under the apartment. There is some street noise from the people leaving McNeils pub across the road but this is easily overcome by closing the window.

Comfortable first experience in self-catering

This was our first stay in a flat style accommodation and cooking for ourselves. The flat was so spacious and extremely well-equipped, with neat folders to explain to our overwhelmed selves how to function in such a space. With its central location it was a great base for our trips. I genuinely hope we didn't leave too much of a mess, we were trying to be tidy (even if we got a little confused about what goes where in the recycling. Not a lot, just a little). Can only recommend this accommodation, and if/when we return to Stornoway, we would happily return.

Everything was perfect for us. We won't complain about people being loud outside on a Saturday, when most people do go out for a party. Just shut the windows, as it wasn't roasting hot anyways, and continued our snooze.

A Three Night Stay in Stornaway.

Very clean and comfortable with all the facilities required for a self catering stay. The location was excellent with all amenities at hand. The check in instructions provided by the owner were good. Free parking was available approximately 30 yards from the apartment.

If you are travelling with heavy luggage the internal stairs to the apartment could be a problem. We travel light so OK for us.

Home from home

The flat was very comfortable and extremely clean. It is centrally located and after fumbling about with safe and fob, access thereafter was easy. The hosts made me feel very welcome by leaving a loaf of bread, milk, biscuits and sundry. They also very helpfully provided advice re bakeries and nice restaurants, all very successful. A lovely experience!

The only thing I’d suggest is to provide better lighting in the bathroom over the mirror.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful apartment

Fabulous apartment in the center of town. Modern and well equipped with a view of the town hall clock and a side view of the harbour. Very close to cafes, shops and supermarket, close to the ferry terminal and carpark and about 15 mins walk from the castle. I would definitely stay here again.

We liked everything. Some people might find it a little noisy at night, but you can't stay in a central location and expect complete peace and quiet.

Fantastic break and really comfortable property

Really easy location to find. Free parking close by. Access was really straightforward. Property is well maintained and really comfortable, exceeding expectations.

Having to leave and come home, that I did like. We had a wonderful break but it just wasn’t long enough. This is a lovely property and a great location but I’m unlikely to return as when travelling with my other half, we have dogs.

Convenient and spacious apartment

Great apartment, size and decor were lovely and location was great. Delicious local bread and shortbread plus milk on arrival were lovely touches.

Couple of minor issues with the dishwasher and the plug in the bath (couldn't get it out). Bin lid could have done with a wipe and the same with the shower screen.

Short break in stornaway

The apartment is spacious & comfortable with modern kitchen & bathroom ,situated close to the port ideal for the ferry to Ullapool & good as a base to explored Lewis & Harris , this is our second visit , we will return again on our next visit to Stornaway

An excellent place to stay.

The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms have blackout curtains. It’s an excellent location but also quiet. It is very reasonably priced. In short, it was an excellent place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely comfortable apartment, well appointed. Great for accessing, both the Isle Lewis and the Isle of Harris.

The property was spotlessly, clean, pleasantly furnished, and everything you need is provided. It is very conveniently located for the center of Stornoway and parking is available very nearby in a free lot. The beds were extremely comfortable.

The property indicates in its listing that it has a dryer, but in fact, only a washing machine is available. So be prepared to dry your clothes on the drying rack provided or on the radiators. Because of its location in the center of town, there is some noise from the nearby pub on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The music was quite loud at times, but it did stop by around 11 PM. It would be a good idea if some kind of mesh could be applied to the fencing between the adjacent property, as a lot of trash blows through the fence into the alleyway where you access the apartments. It is not very pleasant to come back to trash all down the pathway.

Lovely apartment

Beautiful, super clean, spacious and cosy apartment in a great location. Very comfortable beds, pillows etc. Nice view. There is everything you would need (in the kitchen, bathroom or laundry). We found milk, bread and biscuits for us - really nice. Car parking is just 2 min of walk which you can see through the window, as ferry as well.
