Very good

An excellent central location. Very quiet. A clean, modern room. It is located in an atmospheric 19th century building. Friendly staff.

No breakfast, apparently, because it was near the date of the hostel closing for the winter.

Super lovely!

I didnt do breakfast because it quite basic but good for a quick breakfast. The view and the location was perfect and worth the price for sure !

Could they maybe install soft closing on all doors or at least the one to the shower and toalets. That would be such great help with sleeping at night and with the noise.

Very old, big and quiet place, dining hall, reading and tv area, courtyard. Very big space with few hotel guests

Despite all the feedbacks about the train noise, I was not disturbed by it at all. Slept well. Window unable to open but not too hot with the fan on. Room was equipped with mirror and toilet and shower separate and basin.

Only 1 main entrance to the hostel. If you missed it that’s it. Uphill and dragging a 20kg luggage with a backpack under the hot sun is no joke. Walked 2 rounds to finally locate the entrance. Driving will be easier, I see quite a few cars parked at entrance. The lift is ancient but thankfully got the lift cause my room on the 5th floor.

the property is kinda far from public transportation especially the train. there were also no plug in the hostel and they consider adding more since people have multiple devices or need to charge at night. they should also have fans

good location and nearby a small path to Sossa castle.

Toilet door is not easy to close. The shower space is not big enough and it also needs a another curtain to separate the shower from the toilet.

Excellent if you need somewhere to sleep without any sophisticated demands. Nice and helpful staff.

A bit difficult to get to the train station, but they provide a public transport day-admittance for you.

The facilities can be planned out better. For example, arguing charging points near each bed and each floor needs more showers and WC s. Finding the hostel is also not straight forward as the building is called Institute Santa Maria

Good budget option in a great location

If you are looking for a "budget" option in Bellinzona, this is a good choice. The room was spacious with lots of storage space (twin room), an excellent shower and a good breakfast.

Quite noisy at times when the train went past as it is close to the train line. The rooms are functional but spartan. There was a TV in the room but its location was fairly pointless if you actually wanted to watch it.

Sleep next to a Castle!

Great location, affordable, and a good value for the price. We stayed there for a weekend and the place really met our needs. We were also able to store our bags and work from the hostel common spaces after we checked out on Monday, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again myself.

Great location, room was comfortable, spacious, and clean.

The set up for plugs and the beds was not good. If you went down for breakfast at the wrong time, it was filled with students from the school that is also housed there - there was no mention of sharing facilities with teens.

Exceptional

I liked it that during the high season in a room with so many people (i believe there are 12 available beds), we were there in 5! 😂 The hostel is 10-15min away from the Bellinzona main train/bus station. It is in the centre, quiet, only the trains can be heard, as it is next to the railway. The bed is comfy, makes no sounds (as usually) when turning. The breakfast was yummy with so much choice, even with soy mylk! Otherwise there was müsli (corn, oats, chocolate), cheese, ham, bread&jam, honey, tea, coffee, cow milk, fruit.

I would need to pay additional 2€ for luggage if I come before 3pm. I missed vegetables at breakfast and more vegan choice (but congrats on soy mylk😅)
