We stayed with our 2 teens and appreciated the twin beds for them. Hotel is clean and has air conditioning but it wasn't very efficient. It's right across from a large parkade that is connected to one of the castles. The dinner was very expensive in the hotel. This was halfway point of our trip so I went about 15 minutes away to a laundromat that was very clean. Grocery and pharmacies nearby.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The rooms were newly renovated, clean and well equipped. There’s also a nice view of the castelgrande. The only downside is the vehicle traffic noise but can be solved by closing the balcony door. We will stay here again.

Hotel Unione is in a great central location -- an easy walk from the train station, to Castelgrande, old town, and lots of great restaurants. The room was clean, had working air conditioning to make it comfortable in summer heat, motorized blinds to keep the room dark for sleeping in, had a safe, and a comfortable bed. Check in was fast and easy. My room had a view of all three castles in Bellinzona.

We were really happy with the hotel, especially about the service and our room with the view on the castle. We also ate twice a dinner at the hotel restaurant and it really tasty. We can recommend this hotel to other visitors and we will definitely come back as it is a really good spot if you are planing to visit Ticino. It is not far away from Lugano or Locarno and you can get free Ticino Ticket for the public transport and trains.

It was a short stay in the city but I loved it. The hotel was very close to one of the castles and the city centre. I didn't receive the same room when I booked it but that was fine. I got a room with a little fridge and when temp is over 30C you will appreciate that fridge. I wish the hotel has it's own parking lots rather than worrying about feeding the public meter.

The Reception who welcomed us was extremely nice and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room itself was large but the bathroom could be brighter. My corner room had excellent view of the castles. Breakfast did not provide egg dishes.

This is a hidden gem, close to the train station, sights, shopping and the castel grande. Our room had a view of it! I would definitely stay again. It is dated but that is part of its charm. Marble flooring etc. if you want modern and boring, stay somewhere else. Bellinzona is a lovely quiet destination, still undiscovered I think.....

Friendly and warm service from the staff, hotel is decent and clean, good value for the price, location is perfect when visiting the 3 castles, a big restaurant with public parking beside the hotel with two slots for EV. If you plan to visit the castle and want a short stay, this hotel is perfect for you. The only downside is the ad for the special menu is all over the place and when we ordered for it in the restaurant, it wasn't available, turns out to be a specialty for each day but not everyday
