Kind, warm hosts in a lovely property with homemade breads and jams - just fab. Nice setting with that roof, apple trees

The most wonderful, warm, welcoming hosts in a thatched house next to the workshop I was attending. On the property they had chickens, very friendly cat, two sweet dogs, food was handmade including the jams and marmalade and bread. Immaculately clean. I wanted to stay much longer because I was so comfortable and well taken care of. Really good WiFi.

It was fab. I always like a desk in my room because I tend to work late into the night but they showed me other tables I could work at and that was perfect.

Very enjoyable stay in lovely surroundings and great hosts.

Located was down narrow windy lanes, (but this is the countryside, so what else would you expect?) is Splatthayes House. A Beautiful thatched property with plenty of private parking. The welcome was very warm and we felt immediately at home. The breakfast was very good with everything one could want, even a variety of sauces, upon request, delicious! The house was beautiful and the decor was superb. Our hosts were very friendly, throughout our stay, and were very helpful with enquiries and suggestions. Our room was very comfortable, with a lounge area and private bathroom. All we could have hoped for and more! Thank you! X

JUST RIGHT !

Adrian and Douglas were great hosts...nothing too much trouble and we were made to feel part of their home.All accom and facilities perfect...and what a breakfast! ...do not be put off by long twisting lane to reach them...its more than worth it!

Beautiful stay in a picturesque location with a fabulous breakfast.

Beautiful property in an idyllic location. Full of character and lovingly maintained by it's two wonderful owners who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Our room was just lovely with a very comfortable bed and breakfast was the best we've ever had at a B&B. From the 'Splatthayes Special" to the homemade sourdough and jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and golden eggs from the resident chickens, it was a fabulous spread! We would absolutely stay again.

A beautiful oasis of calm and tranquility with a very warm welcome.

The Splatthayes breakfast special was absolutely worth having and the cooked breakfast that followed was delicious, it kept us going for nearly the whole day! The courtyard view from our room was very pretty and very sunny and we loved the general peace and quiet of the village.

The owners of Splatthayes were absolutely lovely, friendly etc a real home from…. I was even taken to collect my car after leaving it at the wedding venue after an amazing Splatthaye special breakfast followed by a full fry up with home made sour dough!

Stunning period property in a very quiet, rural location

Breakfast was superb - yoghurt, fruit and muesli starter.....just enough for one of my five a day, clean the palate and set me up for the freshly cooked full English. Lashings of toast, lots of OJ and unlimited freshly brewed coffee Bed was comfortable Facilities went the extra mile.....ground coffee sachets in the room Owners were friendly but not obtrusive and very welcoming

Homely. Definitely recommended.

The place was so homely, quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was great with the homemade mousley, toast, English breakfast and a vegetarian option made available (of which I forgot to mention on booking). Also, the table set up made was really sweet considering travelling with my brother in law and wife. The overall interior is really good and the ambience is homely. Doug and Adrian are so welcoming and helpful and the dogs and the cat are all cute and sweet! Definitely recommended and to book again when possible.

A very memorable weekend in a beautiful B&B. Doug and Adrian are fantastic hosts!

The breakfast was fantastic. Doug and Adrian were very attentive and keen to provide us with exactly what we wanted - even down to boiling two eggs for my granddaughter in case the first one wasn’t as she liked it!

Great place for holidays

Es handelt sich um ein geschmackvoll eingerichtetes altes Haus mit einem großem Garten. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Sitzecke und schönem Ausblick in den Innenhof. Neben Hund und Katze gibt es auch noch Hühner. Das Frühstück war großartig. Joghurt mit Cereals, BLaubeeren, Himbeeren und Erdbeeren , Brot und natürlich Full English Breakfast ( mit Auswahl der Zutaten!) Die Gastgeber sind sehr,sehr herzlich und wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vielen Dank nochmal !!!
