This is our second time to this apartment. Def go back. Just needs a bit of

Perfect Location. Had everything we needed. Bedding and towels lovely.

A few bits need a bit of tlc. The fan in the bathroom was a bit hit and miss. Noisy when it decided to come in. Couldn’t work the lounge heater for what we needed. The utensils in the kitchen need an update.

Recommended!

This was our 3rd stay at the property, so apparently we find it very appealing. It is located outside the walls but less than 10 minutes walk from city center. The flat itself is spacious, with a good living/dining area, a nice kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms. Sufficient storage space for two people. Bed is comfortable and the flat is well heated. Having a dedicated parking spot in York is great. Check in/out process is easy.

The flat is on a upper level so you need to haul luggage and groceries up stairs (we are seniors and it was an issue). The Wifi was weak at times and required resetting. Some amenities were either missing or in shortage (ie not enough toilet paper, no kitchen paper towels or napkins, no shampoo (only body wash) no extra trash bags for kitchen/ bathroom etc). We were staying for 6 nights so we actually bought what we wanted but I am sure if we contacted the owner they would have taken care of it.

Fantastic apartment, loved it!

Great location for York City, 5/10 minute walk to Monk Gate and the Minster. Great apartment and if we were to visit York again we wouldn’t hesitate to book this apartment again. It’s got everything you need in terms of facilities etc.

The only slight grumble is that the lock box for the key should have an apartment number on the outside of the box. Spent 10 minutes trying to open the wrong lock box!

Lovely place for the five nights we spent there, close to town and beds comfy. However overall, it’s a little expensive

It was close to town, beds were big n comfortable. Parking was great and apartment clean upon arrival.

Sometimes being near a roundabout was loud at night with traffic, internet was not very strong. Someone’s old clothes left in drawer and not enough cleaning stuff left in apartment.

A lovely flat for a convenient stay in York. In walking distance of the centre, but with a parking place, so that you can bring in your things and shopping conveniently. Flat mostly very well equipped in all rooms, including kitchen. Windows that open and also that shut securely again afterwards. The bedrooms were on the quiet side of the building, even if the living room overlooked a road. The Foss Fairy Trail ! A little path along the river, just over the bridge from the flat.

Nothing seriously wrong at all. An extra comfy chair in the living room could have been good, but not strictly necessary. There was no peeler in the kitchen. The mattresses were a little on the old side, with dips. There was nowhere in the 2nd bedroom to store clothes

Stone's throw from York City centre

Wonderful location, only a short walk from York centre. Great local pub opposite with very affordable prices. The apartment was clean and suited our needs perfectly. Highly recommended!

Good but could be made perfect!

Unfortunately as others have mentioned the cleanliness of the apartment wasn't good. Cob webs, dust, mould in bathroom, sink not draining, smell of smoke, all it needs is a good deep clean and some air freshener in the hallway and it would be perfect. Traffic noise in living room but fine in bedrooms. TV in living room too high on the wall to watch. Small niggles easily fixed. We enjoyed our stay but unfortunately wouldn't return unless was cleaner.

It worked for us as a budget friendly and comfortable solution by city center.

The location, the space, the availability of parking, excellent wifi, the smart tv, good light. Large refrigerator, ample supply of tea, excellent hot water pressure. Lots of storage space for two people. Stove, microwave, kettle, toaster all functioning well. Good dining table which can also be used as a desk for laptop etc. Very close to supermarkets and city center. Nice neighborhood. Easy to find with google maps.

Steep stairs (for older people carrying luggage etc), air in building’s common areas very polluted by cigarette smoke, basic equipment for kitchen, with some essentials either in small quantities or missing (for example no napkins, no kitchen paper towels, only 2 dishwasher tablets and one for washing machine despite our stay being 6 nights, etc). Kitchen utensils and trays were dirty. Lack of coffee table. Heating in main bedroom wasn’t functioning and in living room functioned only at very high settings. Freezer trays were stuck.

Overall the stay was good as the place was close to everything that we needed

Location was brilliant, walking distance to almost everything that we needed.

Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness of the place. I needed to rewash all the cutlery and dishes as they weren't cleaned properly. The dishwasher needs a good clean (it looks like it has never been cleaned), hence I washed everything by hand.

Great location, just needed a bit of a 'once over'

Brilliant location for the City, just 5 minutes walk from everything. Great Parking, easy to get into the flat.

We thought the flat could have been cleaner. The shower was great but needed a clean, mugs were stained and it just felt like it could have done with an extra hours work. It wasn't a deal breaker but it would be a great property with a bit more effort to clean it. It was very cold when we got there and the heating was a nightmare. We had no control over it, when it was on it was great but we struggled to put it on at times. No instructions left and a call to the host didn't really help. Little things to consider. Don't let it stop you using the place

A well equipped apartment for a York stay- with parking!

Great location and well equipped property. It was easy to get into central York, you are opposite a large supermarket and there are plenty of pubs/ cafes. The secure parking space was very useful too.

The single glazing throughout means you can hear road traffic. This is particularly loud in the lounge.

Pity, but for the unsatisfactory state of cleanliness, everything would have been perfect.

The apartment was close to the old town and was pretty complete in terms of facilities.

I would have scored them alot higher if the apartment was clean but it was pretty dirty when we got there. Which was a real pity because the apartment would have been perfect otherwise. I told the owner about it and he said he would let his cleaners know but isn't it his job to check on them regularly? By the state of the cleanliness of the place, no one had checked in probably months. For eg. there was residue left on the glasses, toothpaste in the sink, dirt and dust in the corners, fungi between the tile groves and in the corners of the bath, thick calcium remnants on the shampoo dispenser, dried water marks in the kitchen sink and chrome surfaces. I would have fired the cleaner a long time ago if my home looked like that!

Great location and spacious apartment!

We stayed in this apartment for two nights. Check in was easy and the private car park was safe and secure. The apartment is really spacious! Both bedrooms are comfortable with enough storage. The bed in the main bedroom slept very well. The living area is spacious and relaxing with nice décor touches . The kitchen is well equipped with lots of extra food items such as salt and butter! The location of this apartment is excellent and you can reach all the attractions in a few minutes. We can definitely recommend this apartment to anyone interested!

The apartment was unfortunately not perfectly clean otherwise it would get a higher score from me (hair, hairpins on floors and bedding and dust heavily on décor items). Also recommend that they do some upkeeping on the bathroom grout - moulding doesn't give a good impression. We still enjoyed our stay and the apartment as it is a fine space - maybe a deep clean will do the trick. We went without the parking permit, as it was lost by previous guests, which felt a little risky.

Beautiful apartment exquisitively decorated. Two bedrooms with exceptional beds. The linen and towels were of superb quality. The kitchen super equipped with everything you need to cook and more! Host very kind and considerate. Happy for having stayed there.

A perfect stay! We didn't want to leave! The apartment was homely, very clean, so comfortable and just lovely! The location was brilliant just a short walk into the centre of York. My daughter who is 6, had the most wonderful time with us too! Very quiet location and the parking space with the apartment is so handy! Can't wait to come back one day!

Nice apartment, great location, but poor cleanliness

The owner, Sophie was friendly and welcoming on our early arrival. The apartment is in an excellent location for exploring York, 10 minutes walk into the city. It is a nice spacious living space, with a good kitchen and bathroom, reasonably well equipped throughout. The lounge area is a good size with a big dining table and chairs. Onsite parking is also free, and it has good WiFi.

Unfortunately, we had to spend an hour cleaning the apartment because it wasn't clean. My wife is a Head Housekeeper at a Chester hotel, and also has asthma, so is very sensitive to dust. On closer inspection we found cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in every room. Thankfully there is a hoover so we got rid of the cobwebs. Coincidentally her hotel uses the same table lamps as were in the apartment, but here in York they had a layer of dust on them, same goes for skirting boards, doorframes etc you get the picture. The bathroom sink was blocked. I decided to sort it after trying to unblock it with a kettle full of boiling water, I unscrewed the plug cover and saw lots of debris in there, I thought it could be vomit but it turned out to be lots of paper. Someone must have thought it was a waste disposal. Using tweezers I managed to unblock it. We decided to watch a movie on Netflix one evening, and moved the settee out a little to be more in front of the very high mounted tv, only to find thick dust, litter, food, and a hair bobble behind the settee. Out came the hoover again. The settee itself is not comfortable and feels like a budget IKEA kind of item. We ended up going home a day early because my wife was suffering with asthma,
