Pleasant glamping site by the lake

Amazing location for a hike and swimming in the lake if weather is good. Breakfast was pleasant. Nice spot for a weekend. Room and the bathroom were clean. There is a very nice hiking track of 10 km around the lake.

We were excited for the facilities, such as pool, tennis, squash etc. But the availability of most facilities were super limited. (1 - 2 hours a day with booking in advance) At the end, we had no other option than hiking and going to the little beach on the lake.

Beautiful location but lacked store

We loved that it was part of a sports park and we could swim in the lake. The restaurant was very nice and the staff were great. The room had a great big window that opened to let a breeze in. We were able to keep it open throughout the night which made for a great sleep. We also loved that it was located just off the Vennbahn cycling trail. Also it had a mini fridge- the first and only one we found on our two weeks of travel (unfortunately we had nothing to stock it with).

No store was on site to buy water or beer or food for the room or the beach area. Forced us to use the restaurant for everything. We had to ride into the town if we wanted anything. As cyclists who had just finished a long day of cycling it was disappointing.

Great continental style breakfast. The room was very clean and spacious. Lovely location on a lake.

The single bed was a little narrow. Also, the isolation of the building is not great and I could hear other guests talking and walking although it was not a huge nuisance.

1 night solo stay after a long night and day travelling

Lovely quiet location with good facilities. Helpful staff. Nice and clean and good restaurant area. Pretty close to the highest point in Belgium which is what I went to do. Also did Luxembourg and Netherlands highest points.

Perfect value

Actually this is very large sport park by a lake with many activities available. Scenery was perfect! For stay there is camping, vacation house, hotel (so called sport house). I stayed at the sport house. It is very clean and bathroom was big. For the money I spent it was absolutely worth.

Restaurant closed early, but understandable. This is not a hotel but a sport park.

Butgenbach trip

I love the place, facilities, staff in the reception were nice and friendly. In the end they asked me if everything was in order and if I liked everything... Super nice and friendly ladies there. The place offers all you need to relax and have some join with nature.

Staff in the restaurant very grumpy. Think would be nice to get a smile. ITs super important to be friendly in catering! Also as they don't speak english, its hard to get anything sorted. Not much effort need on learning couple of words in English: bread, white, brown, water, cheese, ham... I asked brown bread and after a while of waiting they brought white rolls. Maybe because there was no much people when i stayed in... I found breakfast choices very limited, fruit too ripped, coffee was very watery... Didnt like the breakfast at all.

Perfect summer holidays!

The rooms are part of a sport park with camping and sports facilities, it is great to be able to directly walk to the lake and jump in any time you feel like it. The entire area is very clean and well maintained. The price is very competetive and allows also on a smaller budget to have an extraordinary summer holiday. We also tried the VitaProgram from the park: climbing, kajak and achery on a very sunny afternoon was clearly one of the highlights of our stay! The rooms were clean and nice with view to the lake, the breakfast with enough choice, and the concept of corona distancing strictly followed which gave you a very safe feeling. On top of all that we were lucky to have 3 days of hot sunny weather :-)

The restaurant staff is very friendly, however sometimes we had to wait quite a while till we were served.

Prachtig park in het Mooie Ost Belgien.

Aan de rand van het gemoedelijke stadje Butgenbach en direct aan het meer van Butgenbach ligt vakantiepark Worikken. Dit park verhuurt chalets maak ook kamers in een soort van woonblok. Het zijn simpele kamers met bed, grote douche met toilet en een kleine zitgelegenheid. Je kan van hier in 20 minuten naar het stadje lopen en Butgenbach ligt in de Kanton Ost Belgien. Ofwel het Duitstalige gedeelte van Belgie, direct aan de grens met Duitsland. Verder zijn er tal van wandelingen uitgezet met allerhande informatie over de omgeving.

Wifi is niet aanwezig in de accomodatie, alleen in de openbare ruimtes die op het park zijn.

het verblijf: zeer rustige omgeving, goed bed, geen luxe maar alles aanwezig wat nodig is. het ontbijt: ruim assortiment in buffetvorm, hygiënisch perfect, persoon aanwezig die doorlopend voor de netheid van het buffet, de zaal en de tafels zorgt omgeving: prachtige natuur om mooie wandelingen te doen vriendelijk personeel, ook zeer kindvriendelijk

de verluchting van de kamers maar dit is op te lossen door de ramen zelf een uurtje open te zetten
