Great place

Easy to find, good car parking, Phil is a lovely man and very helpful and a wonderful chef. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

The pillow on the bed was too hard.

Good place to stay to explore the surroundings

The place is located in the village centre, near everything, still it is very quiet. My room had a lot of light but if neccesery to make it dark there are curtains. Staff friendly

Internet connection is quite weak especially at night.

Decent nights kip but wouldn’t stay again.

Decent sized room with good facilities except no kettle/tea/coffee. Clean and tidy.

There were wires hanging out of the walls. Mid refurb? Nothing was mentioned when booking.

The host was friendly and it was a clean room

The girls in the staff were not friendly and it was very uncomfortable to ask them for something. They had an angry look at there face and when we asked them something they reacted very rude. When we returned from an event with a lot of trafficjams we called the owner/host if it was possible to eat around 830pm and he told us that the kitchen closes at 8pm so we had to drive an hour to somewhere else to get food and when we finally returned to the hotel at 930pm with our pizza there were people eating food inside and when I asked him about it, he told me that they were "special" people.. 🤨 Not cool!!

Good value for money

Phil was very friendly and even called a neighbour to bring us to the wedding location, since taxis are not easily available. The room was simple but clean and tidy. Good value for money.

Kind owner, newly renovated, clean, good covid measures and nice diner !

The owner Mr Philip is a well organised man, very kind and helpful to satisfied his guests. The breakfast is more Belgium-Vallonia, but it could be more improved according guests. So better to ask Mr Philip in advance what do you like to eat next day in breakfast. Philip is also a good cooker for diner ! The room was newly renovated, clean and hygienic. Good measures against covid. No complain during my stay.

Convenient and perfectly nice little hotel near the Hautes Fagnes

This little hotel had everything we wanted for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good, as was the evening meal. The beds were large and comfortable and desk/chairs etc. were practically placed with easy access to power sockets. There was also ample place to hang clothes and a clean bathroom. We stayed in a three-person room and would do so again.

Very clean comfortable and specious room. Really helpful staff. Restaurant and bar at the place. Free specious park side and great location make it really good place!

People who know only English will suffer to communicate or even to read menu card. The shower has issues, suddenly switches to hot water and cold water automatically. Very bad experimence in shower.

A very good base for exploring the beautiful surrounding

"Chez Phil" offers a really nice and well-located place to stay. By foot you can quickly get to different hiking trails around and close to the lake of Robertville and the castle "Reinhardstein". The staff is friendly and helpful and the check-in was smooth and easy.

My room was a bit noisy because most of the windows pointed towards the street. But closing them at night reduced this issue sufficiently so that I could sleep really well. I liked that the room was really bright - a luxury that compensates the noise quite well ;-)

Pleasant stay in an inn with a family business feel

The staff are nice and make an effort of speaking more than just FR; mmuch appreciated. The breakfast was ample: you could make an extra sandwich for the day's trek. The location was handy for transport, if a little noisy. The facility asked me if I agreed for two single beds, but we managed to negotiate having them pulled together: a halfway-house solution.

Kitchen closed between lunch (2PM) and dinner (6PM): you have to plan your trekking around restaurant opening hours, but that's a more general problem in this part of Europe. How about a few simple hot dishes being available non-stop?

Fijne wandelvakantie

Bij het aankomen direct begeleid naar de kamer, uitgelegd hoe de deur werkten, propere kamer Hij vraagt ook direct of je iets wil eten in de avond en ochtend Het verblijf is zeer rustig en kort bij het meer van Robertville en het kasteel van Reinhardstein, ik ben persoonlijk ook naar malmedy gereden, dit was zo een +-15 minuten rijden, is zeker een aanrader.

La région sous, la neige est fabuleuse

L'hôtel est situé tout près des fagnes, mais au centre de Robertville ce qui fait qu'il n'y a absolument aucune difficulté de circulation par temps de neige, car les routes depuis l'autoroute sont parfaitement dégagées. Ovifat est extrêmement proche Le restaurant (sur réservation) est une brasserie avec des plats simples, mais vraiment bons. Le prix est correct.

Eenvoudig maar schoon hotel , vriendelijke eigenaar, goed restaurant, prijs / kwaliteit verhouding heel goed. Diverse bieren en een goed menukaart.

we zijn gekomen wanneer Philip zijn verjaardag vierde maar hij had een bericht gestuurd en ik heb het niet gelezen dat op zaterdag de keuken niet open was maar hij heeft voor ons toch nog eten gemaakt

Auf das wesentliche beschränkte Ausstattung des Zimmers. Außerhalb des Zimmers Renovierungs-/Modernisierungsbedarf erkennbar.

Culinaire verrassing en gastvrijheid!

Persoonlijk en gemoedelijk hotel/taverne dat een ideale ligging had tijdens mijn wandeltocht (Venntrilogie). Kamer is superbasic, maar schoon, relatief ruim en comfortabel (zeker voor de prijs!). Eigenaar doet veel zelf, is vriendelijk en spreekt zelfs een beetje Nederlands. Eten in de taverne beneden was zeer goed (kan meten met 4 sterren locaties waar ik heb gegeten) en het ontbijt versgemaakt met warme broodjes, kannetje koffie etc. Grote aanrader!

Het interieur is wat verouderd en de douchecabine sloot bijvoorbeeld niet helemaal. Maar dit zijn echt kleinigheidjes! Heb hier de beste nachtrust gehad tijdens mijn 4 dagen in de regio en de prijskwaliteit is geweldig.

De accomodatie lag op de goede plaats voor mijn geplande wandeltocht en de voorzieningen waren oké.

Het is een eenvoudige accomodatie, maar daar was ik ook tevreden mee. De douche was zeer goed en alles was sober, maar netjes.

Het was weinig sfeervol, maar wel prima.
