Great apartment and beautiful location!!

The apartment was compact, well furnished and well equipped. Morgan met us and handed over the keys, showed us how to work things and where to park. It can be a bit tricky to get larger suitcases up the spiral staircase, but apart from that it was perfectly located

Great accommodation

Very friendly owner, lots of space in this accommodation, superb location. I highly recommend staying here! The accommodation is spread over three levels and spiral staircases lead you to each level, so if you have mobility issues I would not recommend it.

Brilliantly located apartment with parking

Ideal location with parking. Few minutes from the centre and all the restaurants and shops. Few mins from the tapestry and cathedral and about 10 mins walking the other direction to the war graves. Apartment is modern and clean and has everything you need. Morgan the owner is very accommodating and let us check in early and gave us lots of useful advice. Nice view of the cathedral from lounge window.

There is only one negative to this property and that’s the spiral staircases. Wouldn’t normally be a problem for us but we both had injuries at the time, so it was a bit of a chore for us. Top tip take your belongings in softer smaller bags - as it was really difficult to get our big hard suitcase around the staircase. If you are mobile and take smaller bags the staircases will not be a problem for you.

The location was perfect. We enjoyed our view of the Bayeaux Cathedral from the window. The parking space was so convenient. Once we mastered the spiral staircase the accommodations were great!

It was a great visit and Morgan was very helpful and kind.

Location, cleanliness, and the fact that it was in a rustic, 200+ year old structure. It had old world charm while having modern conveniences. It was also very quiet yet convenient to the action. Bayeux is a lovely village. We enjoyed our stay very much!!!

I will say that both sets of staircases are tricky! We were able to navigate them fine, but we are very active and have lots of stairs in our home. They would be a problem for people with mobility issues or for young children without supervision,

So many good things

Our host was very friendly - he met us and gave us a full description of the property and how to use everything. The property was exceptionally well equipped - fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, on-site parking, separate living room.It was extremely well located - less than five minute walk to the centre of town.

The property was over three levels with spiral staircases linking each level.They were a little awkward to use, particularly taking luggage up and down.

Totally ideal for one or two persons to stay for exploring Bayeux/Normandy etc

Location is perfect: pretty quiet despite the adjacent road, view of Bayeux Cathedral, easy to get into the town on foot in moments and in/out of the town by vehicle almost instantly. Good living area of a contemporary style, and big shower cubicle. Private parking very useful. Having its own laundry facilities was very handy. Nice clean apartment which is definitely our favourite for future stays.

Not a problem for us but just for information: there was a mobile a/c cooler unit. This was situated in the top floor, which is the bedroom/bathroom area. Perhaps in the hottest weather it may not particularly cope, but then, any cool air is still better than none if trying to get comfortable sleeping !

Marvellous central location in beautiful Bayeux. Very quiet with views to amazing cathedral. Light filled with windows all around. Heating works well for the chillier months. Morgan kindly picked me up at the train station and showed me how everything works. Good facilities. Good free parking.

Great apartment in Bayeux.

Lovely apartment for a couple, well located comfortable and well equipped. A nice yard safe parking for a car and a room with laundry facilities on the ground floor. The living room/ kitchen is accessed up a circular metal staircase. It has windows to the front and back making it light and airee . Up another spiral wooden staircase is the bathroom and bedroom. The accommodation is well specked with everything you need if you want to cook, we never did because of its close proximity to nice restaurants. Morgan met us at the property and showed us around and gave us ideas of where to go and distances involved. We loved our stay and would stay again if in the area.

There's nothing much not to like , I don't think it would be suitable for young children because of the stairs. It was warm in the bedroom as it's in the roof section. There is a portable a/c unit, but it's very noisy . We just kept the windows open for a flow of air, but I can imagine it been hot in mid summer .

A lovely apartment, handily located for everything in Bayeux town.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is so close to the town centre, everything is within easy walking distance, so no issues with having to drive to get something to eat & drink. We did buy breakfast foods at the supermarket and of course, a couple of bottles of wine to put in the fridge to enjoy in the evening. The apartment is really well equipped, the two spiral staircases were easy to navigate even with luggage. Morgan the host is very friendly too and is happy to provide suggestions of places to eat etc. A reserved parking space was a must for us and was very convenient.

There wasn't much to dislike really. I suppose if you do not like stairs, this might be a problem for you, but it wasn't for us.

Wonderful

Great host who kindly offered to collect us from the station. Lovely, spacious one bed apartment. Our teenager slept on a comfortable large sofa bed in the living room. Window looks straight out onto Cathedral. In centre of the town but on a quiet back road. Didn’t hear a thing at night. Equipped with everything we could possibly need. Spotlessly clean. Will definitely come back

Very comfortable, very close walk to Old Town

The apartment was spacious and very close to the old town. It also included a parking spot so it was very easy to drop off our car and walk to the town within 5 minutes. It had a washer and dryer which made it very easy to do laundry. And the hosts were very responsive and very kind.

They forgot to leave us extra rolls of toilet paper. I’m sure the hosts would have brought us more if we said something though.

If you want self contained accommodation where you can stay in comfort and do your own thing, stay at Maison de Ville.

The property is self contained with full facilities. It has been recently renovated to a high standard with a full kitchenette you can easily cook a family meal on if you wished. I have to say the bed is super comfortable and the shower is the best, brilliant after a long drive!! Maison De Ville is literally 150m from the centre of the beautiful Bayeaux and comes with complimentary off road parking. Morgan was the best host, we had been delayed and were arriving very early in the morning. Morgan arranged a full photo guide of how to get to the property and ensured we could get in, following up with a courtesy visit to ensure we were settled. All in all I would heartily recommend a visit to beautiful Bayeaux and I will definitely be staying at Maison de Ville when I do.

Great base to explore Normandy

Great apartment in an old house, very close to the town center - maybe a two-minute walk to shops, restaurants, etc. Almost equidistant from the Tapestry museum and the D-Day museum. Very easy parking accessible through the driveway under the house. Beautiful view of the cathedral from the living room. Nicely equipped kitchen, including toaster, microwave, induction hob, etc.

There are two very tight spiral staircases, so anyone with mobility issues or unable to lift their luggage will have problems. The front gate has a tricky lock - the owner showed us how wonky it can be - and there were some loose tiles on the steps outside.

Good choice for 4 people

It is close to great restaurants and other shopping. Has off street parking, modern kitchen and bath (up on level) 3 where the bedroom is. Couch makes into bed on level 2 where kitchen is and above a closed area. May have been shop at one time. Be aware that both user levels are accessed by circular staircases. We had one person in our group of 4 that is legally blind and the stair cases were a challenge. With that said it’s a nice and convenient place to stay.

Ubicación y casa con encanto Hemos estado muy a gusto en este alojamiento. Morgan nos atendió estupendamente y nos informó de todos los lugares por visitar en la zona. El alojamiento tenía de todo. De trappen zijn lastig en een paar kleine dingetjes mbt afwerking, zoals stopcontact die niet goed vastzit of gordijnroede waar je tegenaan loopt met afdalen trap kunnen makkelijk verholpen worden.
