Excellent central location, close to local amenities but very quiet. The accommodation was clean and well kitted out. The host was delightful and helped us with getting into the property and explaining the facilities.
The stone spiral staircase had to be navigated with a little care but was manageable

Just to be aware there is only one toilet and it’s on the ground floor and the stairs are windy in case someone struggles with stairs

The house is exceptionally charming and accommodating. It's so beautifully done and easy to live in. The owner Laurence met us at the house right as we arrived and was very kind and friendly and spoke very good English.
Note that the Superior Villa (with the large yellow bedroom) is number 14b on that street. No 3 is the office or something, we didn't realize that at first. But that was also because I didn't check messages in Booking.com where Laurence had left the relevant data in such quick and timely fashion that I didn't expect it.
Parking is indeed offsite but not difficult. We were there over D-Day and still found parking nearby.
The location is great, central to everything.
Note that the house has a steep stone spiral staircase, which is really cool but might be an issue for people with mobility problems.
Kitchen and bathroom are updated and user friendly. The bath is large. The main bedroom is huge and the second bedroom is also spacious. Loads of space for suitcases and clothes. The living/dining room is large and comfortable. Everything was completely clean.
Any problems that other reviewers list we did not encounter.
That we couldn't stay forever.

Wonderful location, amazing historic house. Good kitchen, beautiful rooms. Comfy beds, beautiful decorations and style. Light and airy. We were sad to go!
Also the host provided a very good cot for our baby.
It's quirky! We thought it was worth it as a great experience. But very steep stairs, and only one toilet on ground floor.
The high chair was cute but not functional. The baby could slide out as there were no straps. This was really stressful.
The WiFi didn't work downstairs so we couldn't watch films or anything in the evening (only french tv channels on small tv and half our group did not speak french).

Spacious house in the center of Bayeaux. All the shops and amenities are near. We were welcomed by the very friendly host and shown around the historic building. Everything needed for our stay was present and the house clean.
Parking is a challenge, free parking is possible relatively close to the accommodation. Make sure to have a restaurant reservation before you arrive, everything will be fully booked, also in the off season!

Great location in central Bayeux, good size bedrooms. well equipped kitchen.
The property description does not make it clear that the single bathroom is located off one of the bedrooms. I.e the occupants of the second bedroom have to go through bedroom 1 to get to the shower, nor that there is no toilet in this bathroom.
There is only a tiny toilet room on the ground floor, with barely enough room to fit in a large adult.

Location- was very close to the cathedral and Main Street
Age- property is circa 400yrs old with loads of character including a spiral stone staircase
Only one bathroom which was accessed through one of the bedrooms
One toilet on the ground floor was very small and not very convenient for those in the second floor bedroom

I loved the unique and charming nature of this 500-year old property. You must see the interior of the house to really appreciate it because it seems non-descript on the outside.
No parking without a two block walk from the nearby park. Not a huge inconvenience, but if traveling with much luggage, make sure you have roller wheels on your baggage.

Large and beautiful apartment, great location, great price.
Only one bathroom. Parking was a little difficult.

This house is so cool! It felt like we went back in time. The beds are comfy and the kitchen well equipped. The location is great! There is a nice park nearby. The garden is bigger than it appears in the pictures.

The location was fabulous. The decor and furniture superb. The bed was very comfortable. The place was wonderfully clean and comfortable. The windows opened for lovely fresh air. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and well decorated.
The toilet was extremely small and uncomfortable and there was only one downstairs. Communication was tricky; Booking sent messages back to me. Would have loved information folder about the history of the property, somewhere to hang clothes in the bedroom and a reasonable toilet on both floors.

The central position is great. It's a lovely apartment, renovated from some truly ancient building. It has good WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine, all in perfect working order. The rooms are beautiful, and it was decorated with great taste. Super clean.
There is only 1 toilet, on the ground floor. The rooms are on floor 1 and 2 respectively, up some stone stairs, beautiful but somewhat impractical. A true Medieval building.

Excellent location, exceptional host, very clean.
There was only one toilet all the way downstairs, the stairs are a little scarry to navigate but knowing it's an old house it is understandable.

The apartment at Rue Des Ursulines was the most charming and historic place we have stayed in during our visit to Normandy. It was very clean and comfortable and the host, Fabian, was very friendly and accomodating. He showed us the details of the apartment and also some ideas of places to eat in Bayeux. The location is very central and easy to walk to the cathedral, the Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry, and places to eat and shop. In general Bayeux is a great base for those interested in exploring the history of the Norman period and World War 2 sites nearby.

Mooie plek, mooi oud pand, netjes schoon.
