Perfect location and everything you need for a comfortable stay

This is the second time I have stayed at this place. Could not be a better location, helpful staff with info for parking and restaurants. The apartment provided everything we needed, was very comfortable. Able to rest in between tours and watch TV with same tv login for personal apps. Internet and heat for the chilly evenings.

Enjoyable stay at Bayeux in a well placed apartment

This apartment is in the Main Street, close to everything, a manageable walk from the station. Restaurants very close and very good

The gate out onto the street was locked from both sides, so you were effectively locked in. The keypad had very hard to read numbers, we arrived in the wet and dark. The apartment needed somewhere comfortable to sit, the decor was strange.It would be good if the apartments were numbered had to decipher a name in a French email when the translator doesn’t work

Very central location for beautiful Bayeux and its facilities. Secure and cosy. Bottle of cider a nice touch. Free parking a short walk away - no problem. It worked well for us and we would use again.

Mezzanine floorboards very creaky for those sleeping below. Kettle below smoke alarm set it off. Both minor observations rather than dislikes.

A good base to see Bayeux from but not comfortable enough to want to stay more than a couple of days.

We loved the position. It was very central and in a pretty courtyard. The owners have clearly thought hard about making the appartment stylish, attractive and user friendly and it is all those things. They also sent a very useful e-booklet some days before we arrived which was thoughtful and very much appreciated.

The sofa is unbearably uncomfortable to sit on and as the only relaxed seating should be replaced immediately. We had to use the all the bedroom pillows to make it bearable. The bed is difficult to get to due to lack of headspace and the kitchen area needs some (any) workspace.

As a solo traveller, the apartment was ideal for my purpose.

Spacious apartment with all facilities needed. I particularly like the ceiling fan in living room, which provided a c oolness to the whole accommodation. Also the apartment was shaded and remained cool thgrough the heat of the day. Well placed for easy access to the city and local shops. Excellent wifi access. Quick response from the host in answer to a query. Free car parking within 5 minutes walk, though overnight use of the adjavent pay car park was well priced.

Great location in walking distance from all the main museums and attractions. Opposite a market on the weekends and close to lots of good bakeries and a supermarket. The room was spacious and well equipped.

Great except no parking

The only problem is parking. If you’re driving, this is a problem. They have 2 “available” parking places within walking distance. One was in a parking lot but was unavailable because the circus was using the parking lot. The other was usually taken. So, you’re on your own. If parking isn’t an issue, this is a great apartment centrally located.

Nice location in Bayeux.

The location of the apartment is great. Nice garden area with a small table on a terrace to sit and enjoy coffee or drinks. Although it was too chilly for us to enjoy that. Clean apartment. Parking is free within a three minute walk. Comfortable beds. The manager was helpful and the gifts of cider were a very nice touch.

When we arrived we found out that there is no oven in the apartment. This could have been my misunderstanding, but was a little disappointing. Also during our stay the bathroom shower backed up and flooded the bathroom floor. Then the kitchen faucet leaked. The decor was a little bit old and could use some updating. Instruction on how to use the dishwasher would have been helpful. I contacted the manager about all of these things and she was very quick to respond and do what she could. Considering all of this I would still recommend this place. It just did not meet my expectations at first, but the positives out weigh the negatives.

Somewhat Bizarre...

Our room was adequate.

The manager was overbearing, rude and pushy when she eventually turned up at 18.05hrs. We had numerous emails beforehand to arrive between 16.00 & 1800hrs to meet the manager. We arrived at 16.15 but could not access the outside gates. There was no manager present. Another resident let us in through the gates & showed us the gate code. We entered the only apartment with a key in the door. It turned out to be the wrong apartment. We received an email at 18.15 with the gate key code enclosed, somewhat late for us. Our apartment was at the back of the building up a metal outside stairs to the upper floor where there were 3 apartments. It was difficult to carry our cases up the outside stairs. Also we were told to be out by 10am sharp on our departure date. Management asked us for extra money for a daily tourist tax (per person), asked us to clean all our rubbish to an outside bin, asked us to put all towels, bed sheets/pillows into an outside laundry bag. We didn't comply with their requests. The management took payment from our bank account 2 weeks before our stay. All this behaviour by the management of this venue was most unusual. A bit like a hostel stay rather than an expensive apartment rental. Would we recommend this establishment? NO, there's much better places to stay in Bayeux for the same money.

Superb

Great location - walking distance to all the Bayeux sites and restaurants, and an easy drive to WWII sites on the coast. Very spacious and well-equipped apartment and great enclosed courtyard and garden space for our toddler to safely run around. Also, very convenient laundry facilities and free parking nearby.
