Modern and Comfortable in Bayeux

Vincent was an extremely nice gentleman and allowed us to check-in earlier than normal. He also helped us plan the best route to the D-Day beaches and museums. The apartment was very modern and spotless. It was well appointed, with everything needed for a good stay, including an oyster knife.. Most apartments that we've stayed in usually have just the bare necessities, but not Gites les Piurquoi Pas! It's clear that Vincent and Sandrine have prepared the apartment to make their guests comfortable and to feel at home. The location is a 5 minute walk to the old town. There are many good restaurants and cafes to explore. The location is only 50 meters from free public parking and was very quiet at night. Its location is perfect for visiting all of the D-Day sites. I'd strongly recommend the Gites less Pourquoi Pas!

Convenient and quiet location with great hosts

Great location with ample parking on the street and a nearby lot. It's on a quieter street but close and convenient to walk downtown. You can tell the hosts were thoughtful in decorating and equipping the rental. Vincent and Sandrine were very proactive in their communication. We booked the studio unit with the murphy bed that was very easy to put up and down. It's a one short flight walk upstairs, which was fine for us since we just had two small suitcases. We would love to return!

An exhilarating weekend in a superb location populated by really nice people.

A lovely Gites and a remarkable host. We will certainly return. The location is excellent and the facilities are exceptional. The only minor criticism was the sofa bed and the stairs. I have bad knees.

Fabulous Accommodations

Property was comfortable and location was just perfect. No more than a 7-10 minute walk to downtown and in a perfectly comfortable neighborhood. Vincent was a wonderful host and ad a renter we could not ask for anything more.

Excellent accomodation in the centre of town

Excellent accommodation with kitchen facilities and small lounge room. Walking distance from Supermarket, laundromat and beautiful restaurants and cafes. Check in was simple. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to see thoughts of Bayeux and surrounds.

Great for a short stay in Bayeux.

Nice little studio apartment a short walk from the centre of Bayeux. No parking directly outside, but free parking at Espace St Patrice is just around the corner. The studio itself is clean, comfy and well equipped. We stayed here for two nights on route to our holiday destination. Bayeux itself was a lovely, vibrant town well worth the visit.

No negatives come to mind.

Beautiful Bayeux

Excellent 3 night stay, Vincent is a helpful owner, we stayed in Escapade on the ground floor, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you’d need. Great location for the Tapestry and Normandy beaches, free car park across the road. Fantastic bakery 2mins away. Bayeux is a beautiful city with restaurants, shops etc. We would definitely return!

Perfect stay in Bayeux

Perfectly located in a quiet street, by a gorgeous church (you may hear bells from time to time). Nicely decorated, all amenities great, comfortable and functional. The staircase looks a little scarier than it actually is. The owners will offer to meet and provide information on what is going on in town or in the area so if you are looking to make a connection you will surely appreciate it. You can also enjoy self check-in, instructions are very clear. You will also find a guide of the area in the room, no need to pick one at the Tourism Office

The wifi was a little unstable on my phone, worked alright on the laptop.

Definitely worth a try if you’re in Bayeux

Great location, close to stores and old town.

The stairs up to our room are extremely narrow and steep (it’s an older building) which made bringing bigger bags up and down a challenge. I wasn’t a fan of the pull out couch bed but it was comfortable enough. The room lacked storage area for luggage which was a challenge since it was a small space. The kitchen was well appointed but it really needed paper towels! We also didn’t have any facial tissue which was kind of a pain. The bathroom was decent and had a nice shower, only complaint is the bathroom door is frosted glass which illuminates the room if you have to use the bathroom during the night.

Well appointed & situated apartment with free parking close by.

We were situated in the ground floor apartment at 51 Rue Montfiquet. The apartment is extremely well situated in the town and the fact that there is free car parking in a large car park only about 50 meters away is a huge bonus. The apartment is very well maintained and equipped with everything you need for a few nights stay. The hosts Sandrinne & Vincent provided clear information on how to collect the key and events occurring in the vicinity. The apartment is very small but ideal for two people on a short stay.

The only unfortunate thing and this is not the fault of the hosts is that the property being old has creaking floor boards unfortunately during our the nights the quests above constantly stomped about until 1130pm and then infrequently until about 1230am starting again at 6am on two mornings and 4am the third. It. Would have been a good idea to bring earplugs. Vincent did state when handing the key back to him (the only time we met our guest) that if we had notified him by WhatsApp he would have come over and politely asked the guest above to be a little more considerate.(in fairness to Vincent we didn’t communicate to him until we were leaving)

Beautiful Bayeux!

The property was in a great location for the whole Normandy area and just exploring the beautiful quaint town of Bayeux. It had everything that we needed for our stay. The hosts Vincent and Sandrine were amazing. When we arrived we had an issue with the WiFi and Vincent came by to make sure everything was working properly. They also let us know that there was a Saturday market the next day that we went to and loved.

Bayeux Gite

Lovely Gite. Modern, comfortable and well equipped. Comfy bed! Short walk to market (Saturday) and to restaurants, boulangerie and town shops. Cathedral close and the Museum and Bayeux Tapestry. Quiet street with free parking either on street or close by. Vincent and Sandrine are excellent hosts. A great place to stay in the lovely town of Bayeux 😊

Lovely fresh and clean accommodation

The communication from our host was excellent. Our unit was well maintained and very clean, our appliances were all newish and in excellent order. The reception we received on arrival was warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Brilliant!!

The property is perfect! Clean and comfortable and only about a 15 minute walk from the centre of everything. To get to the beaches nearby is a little further however, the hosts are brilliant and very supportive if you need help navigating. They provide brochures for nearby attractions and routes on how to get to them. There are bus stops just a minute walk from the apartment which are easy to use. Shops very nearby and such a safe and lovely community to stay in. Really enjoyed our time in Normandy, thank you to our hosts!

Great stay in a lovely Gite

We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay of 4 nights. The gite (ground floor) was even better than we expected and though we did not need to use the cooking facilities and dishwasher we could see that everything was clean and good quality. The instructions for getting the keys were clear and it was great that there is a free car park nearby. We walked into the centre for our meals which takes about 10 minutes. We had great communication with the owners and met Vincent when we were leaving and he was very friendly (we appreciated the tip to visit Cabourg which we enjoyed on our way back to England). We would definitely recommend Gites les Pour Quoi Pas. Thank you for a great stay.

Cute, tiny Gite with tasteful decor, well located and well priced.

Very good location - close to free parking, near buses, within walking distance of all museums and old town as well as supermarket. Overlooks a church. Has a very cute mini dishwasher.

Pull out sofa beds are not the most comfortable (but it was easy to operate.) It is a very tiny space - not ideal for big suitcases. Can be occasionally noisy at night - passing pedestrians and speeding cars. Cotton linen would be good in summer.

Enjoyable

Vincent (host) very helpful. Met us with keys, gave us an overview of the place and on the day we left he even drove us to the train station. He went above and beyond. The place was very comfortable and in easy walk to the town. The town was beautiful - such a beautiful area.

It is such a cute little place, perfect for a couple needs. It was clean and bright (remember to bring your eye mask) and location is pretty walkable. We had a sofa bed and it was pretty comfy but I was ready for a mattress by the time we left. The hosts were very nice and willing to help.
