An excellent base for exploring Normandy

Perfect location in the Main Street in Bayeux but at rear of the building so very quiet. Large and well appointed lounge/dining and comfortable bedroom.

No parking, but that was understood. We managed to park on Rue St Martin, immediately outside the apartment to unload. Pay parking very close by and free unlimited parking a short walk away.

Big apartment in the center of Bayeux, nice location and close to everything.

Sylvie met me to let me in and show me everything, which was nice. She was very patient as my taxi dropped me off on the wrong location and I couldn't find it. A local had to help me and called Sylvie, so keep her number close. The same street has 3 names, so just make sure your driver knows that. Big apartment, nice kitchen with washer. There is a nearby laundry to dry your clothes if you are short on time. Sylvie was also very responsive to my questions during my stay. Location was down the street from the Tourist Info center and the heart of downtown. Close to restaurants, grocery store, and any coach trips that depart from Bayeux were two blocks away. Good security getting into building and apt. (by the way it is 39 steps once inside the building to the apt), but Sylvia helped me with my bags upon arrival.

For me, as someone who has an autoimmune disorder and is very sensitive to smells and gets cold easily, this was a difficult stay. So this is really for anyone who might be dealing with the same as myself. The building is old and has water damage (hence musty smell for me). I had to sleep on the fold out couch due to this, and it was okay. Opening windows during the day was key for air flow, but I had to shut them during the evening as it was cool weather for me. The key to get into the apartment is a little tricky, so have patience.

Lovely stay in beautiful Bayeux

Sylvie met us to show us around the property and give us the keys. She was very friendly and even though she doesn't speak a lot of English, communication was easy. The kitchen was well equiped and the apartment was very spacious and charming. There is no air conditioning, but lots of air flow with the windows open making it comfortable. This apartment is in a perfect location for walking to restaurants, shops and visiting the Bayeux Tapestry. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Dreaming of our next...LONGER...stay in this beautiful apartment and town!

EVERYTHING! 1) Sylvie was SO communicative over the whole booking process, and she was very communicative/personal/informative, and she met us in person to welcome us in to this beautiful lodging. 2) The apartment is GORGEOUS! It's so well-appointed, we were able to do laundry (much needed after our blistering hot & tiny lodging stay in Paris) and hang it dry on the rack in the spacious kitchen. My 3 20-something kids and I all said we'd want our own homes/apartments to look like this...and all dream of coming back and staying there/Bayeux again for a longer stay. PERFECTLY located, gorgeous decor, bathroom was beautiful, there was a steamer for our clothes, wifi, TV, etc. REsidence is very secure, located right in the middle of the historic/shopping area, and was very quiet. Can't say enough. We'd come back in a heartbeat if we could!

Location, spaciousness, quiet, use of the washing machine. Served our purposes well.

No real complaints. As someone had noted in the guest book, a brief history of the building would be a nice touch.

Recommended apartment stay in the midst of old Bayeux village

We loved our stay at Le Petit Bayeusain apartment. A perfect interlude during a mid winter visit, it was cosy, spacious and relaxing in the midst of the medieval village, close walking distance to everything. The apartment was well fitted out for a long stay but 2 nights was perfect for us. Antoine the owner does not host, the apartment is hosted by Sylvie who collected us from the railway station. Sylvie had very limited English but we all managed.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. Sylvie forgot to explain how to get out the main gate but we worked it out. We had ongoing issues with the internet, maybe it was the main signal. We would suggest double triple checking information for public transport given by the Tourist office as both days it was incorrect leading us to miss our train to Paris and then the Eurostar onto Netherlands, very costly for us!!

Будьте готовы к тому, что в воскресенье и понедельник в городе не работают ни магазины ни рестораны! Но благодаря этому в городе было тихо спокойно и мы погуляли без суеты . С парковкой могут быть сложности.
