Spacious and very comfy

It's a huge flat that is scruplously maintained and clean. Excellent facilities throughout. The location is good but expect a good 20+ minutes brisk walk into Bayeux. The neighbourhood is quiet and the botanical gardens are magical and just two minutes walk away. The beds are very comfy.

More contact with the hosts. It seemed all a bit sterile and impersonal arriving and not meeting the owners. I really enjoy meeting local people and getting advice and tips. We unfortunately had no contact at all which is a shame.

Trying to promote a sofa bed as a double bed and trying to charge extra for bed linen

Clean and well located

I booked the stay with a large double bed and a double bed, when we arrived we were met with a large double bed and a sofa bed, we went out and returned at 11pm , when we went to make up the sofa bed we discovered there was no linen for the bed , we messaged and rang the host but got no response, the next morning the host stated that we would have had to pay extra for the linen for the second bed even though I had booked the two beds. The host tried to say it was strange that a booking would be made for 2 people with separate beds but I have travelled with my friends on numerous occasions and were never expected to share a bed beforehand and always book separate beds.

Great place to stay

The accommodation itself is wonderful and has everything you need. Board games, kitchen equipment, etc.

Minor nitpick: bathroom ventilation is basic. Lot of moisture and wetness after a bath.Opening windows did not really help

Great stay

The apartment was complete with everything we needed, and also very clean and organized. Beds were comfortable. There is no parking onsite, but none is needed. Parking on the street was very easy. The spot accross the house was always open throughout our stay. Host promptly answered any questions we had.

I was third in line for a shower one morning, and hot water ran out. The tank was big enough I think, but it was hair day and the girls took too long. Understandably, the heating system is configured to make water hot overnight, but the host showed us how to get hot water again sooner..

Nice apartment

Very spacious apartment. Very clean. It has a washing machine which is a blessing while travelling. I believe there was laundry detergent available, but we purchased our own to use since we were there for a few nights. Communication with owner/host was smooth and pleasant, they were quick to respond. There is parking available on the street which is free of charge, but note that this parking is not specifically at the property itself. We did not cook while we were there, the kitchen seemed to have the kitchenware to do so.

Owner/host could provide photos of the property entrance to make it easier to locate front door ahead of time. The driveway could use a light at night.

It was easy to find once we got the internet, but for some reason I couldn’t get internet in the town so couldn’t find it. I thought it was a hotel, so really couldn’t ask anyone. But no big deal.

Exceptional

This apartment was perfect, we stayed for 4 days, 2 adults and 2 children 10 &13. Hosts were very welcoming. Location was ideal for exploring the area with only a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre and a beautiful bakery just a 5 minute walk down the road. Apartment immaculate, very modern and had everything you would need for a great vacation. 100% would come stay again and would recommend.

Clean and spacious apartment, not within walking distance of town.

Apartment was newer and clean. Small washer, but no dryer. Have to climb up tiny stairs to get to the property. We had to spend the night before as we were taking an Overland full day tour the next day. The cost of taxi was high. Host met us on road. Taxis will have a hard time finding it. It’s tucked in down a road atop another home. 3 beds. If you have smaller children two could fit on the sofa pull out bed. Host asked for us to pay cash for a hotel tax of sort and to place it in a piggy jar. We didn’t have cash.

We needed to get a taxi to get to the apartment and that was difficult to obtain. We were told by the host an Uber would be available, it was not. The train station attendant was not helpful. Have to climb up tiny stairs to get to the top level of the property, so anyone with mobility or larger body might have significant difficulties. When you entered it smelled of cars and cat liter, but upstairs it did not smell.

Hard to say. This place is as close to perfect as you can get. Big, clean, nice people, great bed and close to the things to see in Bayeux and, being Dutch, not a bad price either 😉.

Een fijn verblijf op een rustige locatie!

De accommodatie is heerlijk ruim, en alles is aanwezig voor een comfortabel verblijf. Ook fijn dat er een wasmachine en vaatwasser zijn. De ligging van het appartement is op loopafstand van het centrum en ook zijn er een versbakkerij en supermarkt dichtbij. Wij hebben de eigenaren niet ontmoet, maar het telefonisch contact verliep goed. Ze reageerden snel.

Door de vele grote ramen kan het op warme dagen aardig warm worden boven ( het appartement ligt op de eerste verdieping). Een ( mobiele) airco zou zeker wenselijk zijn! Er was wel een goede ventilator, maar dat was niet voldoende…
