Hotel Alpenrose Wengen - a family affair since 1881

We had an exceptional stay. The hotel was very clean, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The views are simply breathtaking - truly out of this world and something we'll never forget. A special thank you to the staff for kindly picking us up from the train station upon arrival and taking us back when we departed. It was a thoughtful touch that made our trip even more comfortable. Choosing the half-board option was definitely the right decision. The quality and variety exceeded our expectations, making it excellent value for money. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wengen.

The views from the hotel are unmatched and location is within walking distance from the train station. The hotel offers a transport shuttle as well! Breakfast was great with lots of different offerings. Room was clean with good amount of cabinet space.

Unfortunately we visited during a bad heat wave and there is no AC in the room, but they did have mini fans available which helped. We opened the windows but this also led to flies/moth coming in which we were able to catch and remove. Just something to keep in mind if visiting during the summer!

Location is possibly the most beautiful I've stayed in. The vista is like a painting. Absolutely perfect. The hotel is classic style, cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Good food, enjoyed breakfasts and excellent value evening meal. Rooms were good without being spectacular. We weren't here for that thought. Staff friendly and attentive. Lift to and from the train was very welcome. Thank you for looking after us.

Some parts of the room were tatty. The light fitting on the ceiling had clear gap where the old on had been bigger.
