Wonderful location, beautiful views, lovely room
Superbly located hotel in the middle of Wengen - right opposite the Manlichen ski lift and a few minutes from the train. Beautiful views from the room, very comfortable beds, a spacious (recently refurbished) bathroom and friendly, helpful staff. The complimentary sparkling water at reception was also a plus! The spa and pool area was clean and attractive with nice views and never too crowded. We didnt manage to eat in the private chalet but definitely want to next time!
It would be nice if the pool was open a little earlier/later.

Disappointing
Although the room was quite small, it was nicely decorated, it was very clean, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom had Nuxe products. Breakfast was good with a decent variety of hot and cold options. Reception staff was very friendly.
The rooms have basically 0 soundproofing, we could hear everything both from outside and from the hallway. The spa has a lot of wasted potential, there is absolutely no way you can relax while there are children screaming in the pool. The entire spa should be adults-only starting 18:00 and be open until 21:00, so that guests of all ages can actually enjoy it. There were towels and cups left everywhere, the floor around the pool was constantly flooded (we saw several people sliping and almot falling), staff only came in once to tidy up a bit and that's it. The dry sauna outside has no mention if it's nude or textile version, and some guests weren't even aware that they need a towel. And of course no staff comes to check if everything is ok. The hotel also lacks the typical Swiss "Gastfreundschaft": although we paid over 1200 CHF for two nights, we didn't even get a welcome drink or a personalised note or even a small chocolate, especially considering that it was also Valentine's weekend. Guests are just not made to feel special/welcome, especially considering the rates.

Awesome hotel in Wengen
Love love love the cozy vibe of the hotel. The location was absolutely excellent too - at the center of everything in Wengen. It was a short walk from the train station, the Männlichen lift is 2 mins away, and all the winter activities are within a 2 to 3 min walk. The facilities in the hotel were amazing. We especially loved the hotel bar that had a kids’ play room! The staff were also super friendly and helpful. We really loved our stay here and can’t wait to be back.
