Stunning views

We had a fantastic stay at this charming hotel, perfectly located just steps from the Monte Baldo cable car — an ideal base for exploring beautiful Malcesine. My room was simple yet very comfortable, with a balcony that opened up to stunning views of the castle, mountains, and lake. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the surroundings. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was generous and delicious — we especially loved the fresh bread, cakes, and the big hunk of parmesan cheese! My family and I had a truly lovely experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malcesine.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location.

The hotel is quite small so felt lovely and personal. The staff were all amazing and always there to answer any questions. The setting is great in the center of Malcesine so we were able to park the car in the underground car park and walk everywhere. The terrace and garden were perfect for a leisurely breakfast. We will definitely recommend this hotel and return.

The water temperature was sometimes not as hot as we would have liked for showering, but this wasn't a big problem. Pillows were a little firm.

We wish we had had more time at the hotel Eco Ariston.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We moved our balconies. The garden was lovely. We enjoyed relaxing out there for breakfast and for an evening glass of wine. The location was perfect. Easy access to the beautiful old town.

Perfect Location

This was a wonderful little hotel with a really friendly staff, beautiful gardens, and nice breakfast in the perfect location. The veiw from the castle view room was incredible also it was a 5 min walk to everything!

No tea making facilities in the room. Shower on the small side These are just minor things because it’s a very nice traditional Italian hotel and we were very happy staying here

Perfection

from walking into the hotel we felt relax and at home .The greeting from Julie was so warm & welcoming. We spent many a relaxing hour on the terrace overlooking beautiful garden and our lovely Max serving our drinks ( which were very reasonable ) helping us with all the questions about the area. Location and views were amazing and only a few minutes walk to the Cable car and minutes into the magical town.

Excellent staff, location, and grounds.

The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English (as well as Italian and German). The large landscaped garden on the hotel grounds was like having your own park. The breakfast buffet was varied and contained both hot and cold dishes, both savory and sweet. The location was close to the historic center of town with the ferry dock and right below the cable car station which had cars going up to the side of Mount Baldo.

A very enjoyable stay!

The hotel had a great atmosphere, cosy feel and friendly staff. The view from the room was of the castle and was amazing, with a good size balcony. Breakfast was lovely, a nice range of pastries, cooked variations of eggs, cold meats, cereal etc. A great, quiet location, and a very short walk from the centre. The hotel was also very accessible by public transport/short walk from the bus station without needing to take suitcases over cobbled streets (which are in the centre).

The room was a bit on the small side (considering cost), and the soundproofing could also be improved.

Amazing hotel--Amazing Staff--Amazing Location. The three things that made our Malcesine stay perfect. The Hotel is clean, safe and beautiful with a nice garden inviting you to enjoy a hammock or sit in a padded chaise. It was cool this time of year, but definitely a bonus when it is warmer--very peaceful. Upgrade your room, and you get a view of the Castle outside your window. The rooms have excellent doors / windows that allow airflow, and the blinds can completely block out the sun if you want to sleep, but let air in. BREAKFAST!! OMG, it is excellent. Fresh pastries; eggs; toast; cereal; yogurt; assorted meats all you want. Coffee is plentiful and many choices from cappuccino to espresso shots. The staff. Max was awesome at check in, and got us a taxi for a day trip to Venice. He made it easy and didn't give up after 2 companies didn't answer the phone. The breakfast ladies are professional, polite and serve you well. They spoke about 4 languages that I heard and seamlessly transition between them to get you what you need with a smile. The Location. Less than a football field from the main shopping area; a 2 minute walk to the castle; a short walk to the Monte Baldo lift and amazing bakery. You can't beat the location and the hotel for the value.

Im a weight lifter type guy, and could use a slightly larger shower. No complaints otherwise and I found that the facilities here were better than others we stayed in while in Italy. So I can't say I "didn't like it". At first blush, I thought it was small. Then I realized it was good to go!

Highly Recommended

We were welcomed by Max who helped us get settled in and get our car parked in the underground car park. A lovely little hotel with very pleasant gardens close to the town centre and the cable car to Monte Baldo. Our room which was immaculate had a castle and lake view which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast every morning was a great start to a day, plenty of choice and friendly service.

Excellent location, the view from the room was stunning. Very friendly, helpful staff. We could use the hotel's bikes for free. Good variety of food for breakfast.

Good location. Great view of the castle. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely peaceful garden. Hot tub (which our children were a big fan of). Basic breakfast but plenty of it.

Could hear noise from other rooms around us. Air conditioning was noisy. Room had a peculiar smell.

Excellent hotel, super value, loved it! After staying in Verona and Venice, including the Hilton (wonderful) Eco Ariston

loved the garden which was very pretty, with plenty of quiet space to read, chill, hang out in the hammock and cool off in the ‘cool’tub. Breakfast was great and the staff were excellent. Everything felt very authentic and nothing was too much trouble. Honesty Bar and mini library was a brilliant touch and the staff were kind enough to loan us a plug adapter (as I brought the wrong type). Everything was exceptionally clean and we had the added bonus of being next to the cable car to Monte Baldo (you cannot hear it though).

As very hot, a pool or stronger air con would have been amazing, but this is not a criticism at all. Honestly, nothing we did not like. Wonderful place!

Italian wedding that was postponed

Excellent location 4 mins away from bus service taxi rank and tourist information centre, 2 minutes from cable car if you feel energetic they have bikes you can use free Lake is only a few minutes walk away with lots of Excellent restaurants. Reception staff very helpful good healthy breakfast available all areas clean and well maintained Tge air conditioning was great especially as temperatures were higher than normal for June.the bathroom was nice and clean lots of hot water when needed, shower gel was very nice, good room cleaning service. the garden area was lovely sunny area lots of different seating and shaded areas no pool but the jacuzzi was the best I've been in !

English breakfast tea needs to added to the tea selection other than that

A wonderful, relaxing stay with the most friendly and helpful staff.

I loved the breakfast selection, the location and most of all Max on reception. He was so kind and helpful with a great sense of humour.

I always like a duvet on the bed as not so keen on sheets and blankets, but that's just my personal preference.
