The location was excellent - near the lake and an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The room was small but very efficiently designed so it had everything we needed. The lake view was nice and we especially enjoyed it while sitting on the balcony. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent.
We had to drive through a pedestrian area to reach the hotel.

The receptionist has kindly upgraded our room to have the pool view. It's a simple hotel to spend the night in the beautiful town of Malcesine. Reasonably comfortable place to sleep and shower for the price paid, but definitely not the typical idea of a romantic getaway. The "honesty bar" to provide some snacks and drinks is convenient but we did not use due to early check-out before the reception opens and we couldn't pay afterwards.
The room is dark with the red-painted walls which made the room feel narrower than it already is. The wall-mounted lights did not provide sufficient lighting.
