Well-equipped, comfortable cottage in a beautiful location.
Well-equipped, comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. It was more than large enough for the three of us, and a good place to stay with a child because he enjoyed the nooks and crannies and the garden. We cooked for ourselves most nights, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was loads to do in the area - we didn't see everything we would have liked to in a week.
There was nothing that didn't work for us. If you find stairs hard, it might not be the place for you because the stairs to the bedrooms are steep and twisty, and you need to come down them to the bathroom. Our son loved playing on them, though...

Comfortable, with an enclosed garden which is excellent for dogs
Gracedieu is a little dated but very comfortable. The garden is a lovely sun trap.
If I had to complain about anything it would be the parking and the fact that it could probably do with a lick of paint.

Rustic cottage in beautiful part of Scotland
Located in beautiful part of Scotland. Enjoyed cosy log fire and relaxing evenings. Well equipped kitchen and cute cottage layout and enclosed garden. Had a lovely meal at Killin Hotel. Shame the Dochart Inn is closed with no notices on Inn building or their Facebook page or website. Off season so not much open for food during the day or at night. But we're lucky with the weather for walking.
Off street parking hand but awkward to get in close enough to cottage to be off the road. Stairs to bedrooms very narrow and tricky and need to take care, same with bedroom ceilings being low and sloped.

Quirky cottage in a brilliant location
Cottage had everything we wanted for a lovely week in Killin. Location was perfect and apart from 1 day of heavy rain weather was kind to us. Lovely garden room where we spent a lot of time. Comfy bed and nice to see a log burner in the living room.
Nothing everything there for us but in future if a property mentions height restrictions upstairs I will ask for more details on the height of the bedrooms. It didnt spoil our holiday though. Would recommend.

Leaves a lot to be desired
The cottage in in a superb location. Good wifi
Very tired. We stayed here 12 years ago and not a lot has changed. Yes new kitchen with appliances and fire place in lounge opened up, but bathroom needs upgrading, same fittings and decor as on our previous visit. Windows, especially in bathroom need replacing. Heating needs attention. We couldn't sit In lounge unless we lit the log burner or moved the oil filled radiator into there. It was really cold when we arrived, not very welcoming at all. Only 2 storage heaters appeared to work, the hall one and dining room one. Garden access slippery and garden overgrown, lawn was ok. Thick cobwebs on opening velux bedroom windows. Carpet in dining room very worn. No welcome pack, no shower gel, not even sugar, salt and pepper, only empty containers. Garden room sofa old and lumpy. Although info sheet said there were dog bowls and blankets/towels, we never discovered these.

A comfortable stay in a lovely location.
The cottage was warm and comfortable, with a good amount of space for our group. The kitchen was well equipped, the shower was hot and powerful and the beds very comfortable. The porch was great for storage and dog feeding. We made limited use of the garden room and garden due to the time of year, but these would be lovely in the summer. Killin was a great centre for walking, with a good range of facilities in the village.
The low ceilings in the bedroom and steep stairs might be an issue for some guests - it would be useful to have a torch for any night-time bathroom trips!

We had a really good time in Killin and the accommodation was a great location for our break.
The location was excellent
It was a little bit tired. The lawns were cut on one of the days while we were out but there was no mention of it being scheduled, so we weren’t sure if somebody had been through the property to gain access, it shook us a bit.
