Great setting perfect for travelling with our dog with a great walk in woodlands directly behind the site. Lodge was a good size and had all the amenities you needed/would expect and the owner was very friendly.
Everything was pretty much as expected and spot on only very small issue was the extractor in the bathroom wasn't working (but this didn't affect our stay and is more of a note for the future as i'm sure it's a simple fix/user error).

Lovely location, very nice grounds, friendly staff, price.
Kitchen was adequate but felt a bit basic.
Another small saucepan, rather than the 2 large ones, would have been better for 2 people. The "sharp" knives were blunt (one of my pet hates in most self-catering accommodation!). From my previous life in the food industry, I'd recommend buying Victorinox serrated knives; very sharp, and the edge lasts well.
Also, matching cutlery and a bit more crockery would give the kitchen a higher quality feel.
Hope all that doesn't sound too picky!

It was a lovely location
It was a bit dark in the kitchen, under cupboard lighting would have been perfect

Nothing really. Kitchen cupboards could do with an upgrade but we’re absolutely fine for the time I was there.

On arrival greeted by owner who was very friendly and helpful, the lodge met our expectations. Central location with beautiful scenery. Will certainly return.

Loved the location and was so peaceful yet plenty places to go but need a car
The fact that you have to pay extra for electricity and although did not mind paying it, I would have preferred it was included in price of holiday or make it clearer that there is an excess to pay

Was a.lovely break away lovely place to stay
Paying extra when we got there for electricity, towels etc...should all be included in the price

Fantastic location, very quiet which suited us.
Village only £5 in taxi, walking would take more than 10 mins to reach shops/bars .
A bit picky but kitchen was a bit outdated.

it was very clean and comfortable
there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the cabin

How quiet it was, so comfortable and still only 5 min from the town. Definitely going back!

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
The electricity surcharge was not stated in advance in the booking.com advert and I regard this as a dubious practice. The location was also compromised for a car-free traveller since it is 30 minutes walk to Killin along a busy road with no pavement along half the route.

Really enjoyed our stay, wish we had booked longer than 2 days as would have liked to travel around more than we managed! Glenda was lovely, and lodge very well equipped!would recommend

honestly couldn’t find a fault, beautiful cabin

The lodge was well equipped and had the benefit of bedding, which many self catering accommodation dont provide.
I enjoy the peace and quite of out of season and the site has direct access to a hillside forest walk behind.
The shower was a small space, santa clause might struggle in there ☺

It was in a great location and the lodges had almost everything you need. Great to have a veranda and the facilities for dogs very good. Super walk off the site avoiding roads.
It was not clear there were extra charges for dogs and electric on the booking site and on completing the booking it says it was the full
Price including taxes and charges. A message was sent about charges for dogs the day before the stay. I don’t mind paying for the dogs but prices should be clear and upfront at time of booking. Also did not realise towels are not provided. This must be a common occurrence as packs of towels are provided for hire at £5. However the towels are quite small and thin and for £5 hire I would have expected a decent large towel. Walls very thin but fortunately the neighbours were quiet souls.
No salt or pepper.

Charming little lodge - ideal for 2 - in a lovely setting not far from Killin.
It was larger than we expected, cleverly set out to provide all the facilities you need. Well worth every penny. But we’d have been happy to have paid more had the kitchen been updated (a little tired) and a larger tv installed. These are the only things that could be improved. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owner. She was always on hand to help. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these lovely lodges to others.
There was nothing not to like.
