We loved everything about itttttt ❤️
Maggie was very helpful, friendly and kind. It was amazing to meet her. Surely will go again

It was very cozy and nice to live in, the house gave off a very nice vibe aswell. The living room and bedroom were spacious, even when the bed was set up in the living room. When we looked out of the living room window, we were amazed by the view and also the bird feeder by the window entertained us.
The only thing we didnt like was that the kitchen is very compact and tricky to set up and cook in.

Can’t fault it

We loved staying at the cabin. It was homely and had everything you could possibly need. Lovely setting. Had a traditional feel!
I’d have liked a gate that closed to let the dog out, however the owner offered their garden for the dog to run around in so we were pleased with that.

We loved this little cabin, it felt homely & welcoming & cozy. We loved the scenery & it being tucked away from the rat race. Maggie & Chris were very helpful & attentive making sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed. They are very friendly & would like to thank them very much for sharing their little slice of paradise.
Not everything was perfect - not 5 star hotel, couple of small details missed but the general overall feeling overtook the imperfections.

The location is brilliant and so central to the Cairngorms and Trossachs National parks and even an hour n half from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The host is brilliant and has a really good sense of humour , very helpful and fullnof good stories. I dont have any complaints at all.
We seen so many wildlife there aswell, from deer to little mice , Red squirrels, golden eagles and highland coos ... it is just a different world to Engalnd. The air is clean and the scenery as always changes daily depending on the weather. But we had sun everyday so cant moan really .
Nothing at all

The cabin was fully equipped and very clean. The owners were fantastic, extremely friendly and helpful. The view from the patio was incredible over the hills. Loads of walks and cycle tracks around. It was the perfect getaway.
Nothing it was lovely, but I would suggest changing the single bunk beds to a double bed on the bottom bunk and adding a little gate at the patio to secure the dogs in.

Great location ideal place for hikers to stay small but well equipped cabin. Sleeps two adults and two children provides parking . Cabin is nice and cosy and provides adequate hot water after a long day’s hiking
Wi-Fi was at times was a little slow and more than one device could not be operated at times

It was a privilege to stay at An Carraig. The warmest hosts, the most beautiful location and an exquisite wee cabin with everything we needed for a calm, quiet trip in nature. Can't recommend enough.
Very little. Parking was a bit awkward when the road out front was busy (mornings and early evenings) and we couldn't find a baking tray when cooking pizzas but those are nitpicky issues which didn't affect our stay. There are no obvious or notable downsides to staying here.

The cabin is ideally located for hillwalking in the area: Ben Venue and Ben Ledi for example and there are good low level walks possible from the cabin: e.g: the Rob Roy Way to Callandar. My own stay coincided with some very wet weather but it was late November in Scotland so not unexpected!
The cabin is an excellent base for one or two people. I would return.
The weather!

Location was stunning, with extremely easy access to main road with a parking space just off of it. Very cozy, little cabin with more than all comforts you need for you trip to the mountains. Fully equipped kitchen, welcoming updated interior, log burners inside as well as outside, BBQ area, tennis court just few steps away. Local shop in the village 7-5p.m.. Perfect base for your biking trip as the biking routes surrounding the area of Strathyre are vast and very picturesque. All great walking hikes close by or within half hour driving distance. Wifi on site.
Spiders, although it is a log cabin in the woods. Lack of clear and precise map of all walking routes surrounding the area. It would be advantageous as we had to use alltrails.com or other apps to find exact trails and connection on our phones was hardly available higher up in the mountains. Not at all An Carraig disadvantage as the hosts were extremely helpful, but it would make a great addition to welcome pack for all tourists planning on walking trips.

I booked this lovely cabin for my in-laws who were coming to Strathyre, Scotland with us very last minute. After a rocky journey that went on into the night, my MIL was stressed in an unfamiliar area driving in the pitch black. Christopher and his Mum were exceptional guiding her by day light the next morning. They were so caring and friendly. Unbeknownst to my in-laws they stayed up until 1am that night they got lost, dropped their phone in the car park near our cabin 10mins away. My advice to anyone finding themselves travelling in the darkness is to ring Christopher and he will happily guide you if you're unfamiliar with the area like my in-laws. Use the number given in your booking info and don't be proud. Don't hesitate as they will go above and beyond for their guests! Everyone needs a helping hand every now and again.
Thank you both for looking out for my partners parents over the course of their holiday. You were incredible. They truly enjoyed their stay and should they ever pop back that way will return 😊

Worked well and had everything we needed, to self cater for a couple of nights, very helpful and friendly hosts and location worked really well for us. Close to a local pub, cafe and easy walking/ cycle track.
Road is busy, and although outside area on offer, due to traffic we didn’t use it.

The cabin has everything you need. It was really clean and the landscape is breathtaking. The owner was very gentle and shared loads of suggestions of places to visit.
There were two small inconveniences. To get into the toilet you need to go through the bedroom (so you need to really like the people you go with lol) and the cabin is too close to the main road which means you will listen traffic noise.
