Much needed break in the woods.

The location of the cabin was perfect. It was a short walk into the village and was very close to a couple of great walks. There was no light, or noise, pollution and the double bed was very comfortable. It was set in the grounds of the main house but was far enough to still feel quite isolated. I was allowed, and encouraged, to explore the grounds which included woodland which my dog loved I was made to feel very welcome and the welcome gift of shortbread and whiskey was very much appreciated. I left feeling relaxed and happy.

There was nothing that I didn't like although I would advise other travellers to use the slippers provided as the floors are quite cold in the morning (like most places without carpet)

this is an excellent little lodge and the setting is beautiful in October. there’s just something special about chilling with a log burner that made our weekend extra special.

we couldn’t fault anything.

Relaxing stay

Very clean, comfortable, simple and stylish. Gorgeous location, quiet, next to woodland walks and bike trails. Bird feeders near the window was a treat to see birds and squirrels.

Awesome Cabin in the Woods

Absolutely Awesome..fabulous cabin in the woods 😀 very quiet..spacious..clean..comfortable..we did not want to leave!..the log fire is fantastic and is very cosy..the whole cabin is very tastefully decorated and also has electric radiators in all rooms fab..we brought our red setter dog with us and she loved it..loads of space to run about..the owners are lovely and very helpful..visiting the walled garden within the grounds is a must..it has breathtaking views of the mountains and is very peaceful just to sit and admire the views..we absolutely loved it for the 4 days we were there and will certainly return..AWESOME

Perfect gem

We were met by the host upon arrival and were made exceptionally welcomed, travelling with three small children, it makes a huge difference, nothing was too much trouble. Well equipped and beautifully furnished little cabin, home from home. Thank you very much, amazing start to our holidays!
