Quite stay in middle of Split
Very quite apartment, it was great and very clean.

Excellent stay!
Staff are very lovely and very helpful. Room is spotless and well equipped with fridge utensils table chairs lollies etc. location is perfect, walking distance to everything. Lots of good food places nearby. Shower pressure is great. Aircon works well. Perfect stay!

Friendly hosts and great location!
The location is perfect as it is super near of everything - city center / old town, docks for boat tours, restaurants and bars, and even bus station at a 15 minute walking distance. Despite being so close to the center, the guesthouse is located in a quiet corner, so we had no issues with noise whatsoever. The hosts are very friendly and available to help, provided a city map upon our arrival with some indications and advices - very sweet. The room is cosy enough, not huge, and has a lot of personal belongings it seems, but allows the necessary for a short and comfortable stay. Bathroom is okay as well, and the AC is a blessing for such hot days in Split.
Beaches are a bit far away from the city center, so it's a matter of the guest's priority. Either you wish to stay closer to beaches, and you will be a bit far from city center. Otherwise, if close to the city center, you will have to catch a bus for some of the beaches, or take a long walk. We only visited Bacvice Beach and we walked there - around 20/25 minutes, it's perfectly manageable, easy walking. We preferred to take the boat tours and for that, the docks are 5 minute distance from the guesthouse.

*The dad is happy to share info about the area with you, but we really didn't see them other than check-in and check-out, so still loads of privacy!
*The owners addressed this as soon as I told them, but other people have mentioned it, so I'll note that one night of our multi-night stay, the main shared hall smelled of cigarettes. I asked the owners about it and they reminded all the guests about the non-smoking policy, then no more issues! I have asthma and am quite sensitive to it, so I don't think it's the owners who smoke (as others have suggested) - the father helped with our bags after I hurt my foot and I never smelled it on him at all. Unfortunately, a lot of Europeans smoke and some still think that sticking it out a window avoids the smell. The owners were great about helping though!

Great location, spotlessly clean. Helpful owner, good vfm. Owners dad meet me on the street to make sure I found the place. How kind was that 😀. Only there to sleep as I arrived late and left quite early but it was very pleasing stay

Traumatic
-Good location
-Decent space, mini fridge and a table to sit at.
My girlfriend got stuck behind the slide bathroom door at around 11pm at night. She suffers with claustrophobia and was up with panic attacks for the rest of then night after this ordeal. We had to ring the property and her father came to fix it, the whole ordeal took about a hour and was very traumatising for my partner who was crying and hyperventilating, having being trapped in a small bathroom space for over half a hour. It was lucky I was there with her to get help as if you was a solo traveller and went in the bathroom without a phone and got trapped, the situation could have been genuinely dangerous.
The next day, when we was lying on the bed, the door randomly came off its hinges after the temporary fix provided and again, it was lucky I was there to catch the door as it was falling and hold it up. We had to leave the door held up with the two chairs until her father came to remove the door.
If this had happened when I was asleep or it was my girlfriend there instead of me, who wouldn’t have had the power to hold the door up, it could have fell and caused extreme damage to someone. We was then left without a door on the bathroom for the last night of the stay resulting in no privacy, although they offered us access to a bathroom in the hallway however when you pay for a private room it’s not what you expect.
The owner offered us partial reimbursement at the time and appeared apologetic enough , however we are yet to hear anything further regarding this a week on from check out.
A really disappointing stay which genuinely ruined our trip to split, and could have ended much worse in different circumstances.
I am sure this experience is most likely an anomaly given the other good reviews however I must post our own experience, which was nothing short of terrible.
The beds and pillows are also uncomfortable, although perhaps it was just after the trauma we were struggling to sleep.

The air conditioning would repeatedly turn on and off intermittently with a noticeably high-pitched buzzing and snap, making it a little difficult for light sleepers.

Perfect stay in Split!
Such a perfect place! :) Very affordable and amazing location. It was quiet and comfortable, and Jelena + her father were so accommodating when a group trip ran into delays and I arrived later than expected. They have recommendations for things to do in Split and places to eat, there’s WiFi, good water pressure / hot water in the shower, and overall just a lovely place to crash after a tiring hiking weekend. My luggage had been lost and everything I needed was in shops <5 mins away. Highly recommend :)

Perfect central room
Everything was great. The room was big, clean and with all you could need. The hosts were very nice, extremely resourceful and always with a smile on. We shared a toilet but was always kept extremely clean and with all essentials. The location also was perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent apartment and service at a very convenient place
I liked everything in the apartment. It was fully equipped and the service was excellent. Whenever we needed something, the landlord was responding us very quickly. The apartment is in the city center so it's very convenient for your walk in the downtown. In addition, it's close to the main harbour of Split. We would definitely stay at this place in the future if we visit Split.
