Breakfast was fabulous. -the equivalent or better than a fine hotel;l
Very difficult to communicate with prior to arrival. USB A AND C connection at bedside would have been nice.

A wonderful surprise. The rooms are decorated very artistically. And the most amazing breakfast is served every morning by a lovely waiter who shows great creativity and variety.
And we got excellent recommendations for restaurants in the vicinity.
A small problem with the old fashioned key

We had a wonderful experience sitting by the open window in our room overlooking the street filled with bustling people. The Risotto Fest was amazingly fun and delicious. We loved visiting with the locals at the tables. Great location just minutes away from the Plaza and to the train.

Location
Room was very disappointing compared to the photos on the internet. No contact with the managers of the hotel.

Great location right down in the center of town. Lots of great restaurants around.
It was off season when we visited, I'm sure there is a lot more to see in the spring and summer.

We loved the interior design of our room. The breakfast that is in the little restaurant connected to the rooms was superb. The owner of the restaurant was very helpful with tips of what to do. The bed was comfy and the linen was high quality. The bedroom was spacious. The restaurants nearby were very good. It was nice to stay in this area away from the touristy main square. Host gave us great restaurant suggestions.
The air-con in the room was too loud to have on when trying to sleep. This meant we had a restless sleep both nights. We couldn’t leave the window open due to road noise. The host did explain this to us when we arrived but thought it would be cool enough if we switched off the aircon at bedtime. It wasn’t. They should install a ceiling fan if they are going to keep such loud aircon.

Loved the location - great for walking around the town and exploring the lovely boutiques and walking to the lido. Loved the energy of the people who worked there - we were made to feel very welcome.
We had a problem with the safe in the room. We weren't able to open it once we'd put some valuables in for safe keeping. We sent a message to the hotel owners asking for assistance, but never got a response. In the end, we had to ask one of the cleaning staff to open it for us which they did.

Lovely experience! Loved every thing about the Hotel and stay!
Beautiful rooms and excellent coffee & breakfast downstairs at the cafe.
Maybe the noise of the aircon

The welcome of the staff was nice and informative. The information provided for local restaurants was really useful and the location of the hotel is fantastic. The interiors are interestingly designed and something new compared to standard hotel rooms. The check in and check out was simple and the Ticino ticket was really practical.
The room was barely sound proof at night and we had a building site in front of the room. The hotel staff is not responsible for this of course but prior information would have been appreciated. The interior looked good but was impractical, the room was horribly isolated and we could hear people in the other rooms. Breakfast needed to be order the evening prior with a breakfast timeframe of 1h between 08:30-09:30. If you did not order a day prior you had to pay 10.- more to a whopping total of 30.- .There was no chance to tell the staff in person that you wanted breakfast after the weird lobby/boutique shop closed. I would atleast expect a simpler way to order breakfast like a doodle or similar and a longer offering time than an hour. Lastly the coffee....
We got offered tea and coffe in our room that was not free. All good and dandy. But if you do this, you need to:
1. Offer a pricelist or tell us, we didnt even know it was not included in the room price.
2. Only put the coffee and tea on the bill that we consumed. We had to pay all the coffee that we COULD HAVE drank in 3 days. We had 2 out of 6 and needed to pay all 6. Plus we had to pay for the washing of the cups as well. This is just unnacceptably fraudulous behaviour and i will not come back to this hotel, especially not at this price (200.- per night). Its just not worth the money.

The best part of the hotel was the staff. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She gave us many tips and a lot of advice on the things to do in Locarno and its surroundings, gave a few names of amazing restaurants (do listen to her advice, we were never disappointed!).
The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to everything (station, city centre, restaurants).
The rooms are really cute and clean and so are the bathrooms.
Will definitely go back there for my next stay in Locarno without a doubt!
I highly recommend it!

Good location
Can be very noisy at night with the windows open.

The location was quite central and that was the only good asset.
The bed was uncomfortable for person with back problems (too soft mattress). The furniture were old/not well maintained and dusty. Asked for a second pair of coffee capsules but did not get it. One day the coffe cup provided was completely dirty (not cleaned at all!). There was no place to hang our swim suits after washing. The room is advertised with fridge but the fridge is actually in a shared location in the 1st floor.

We had a large 2 room apartment, with veranda and coffe machine! Good shower and everything was clean . Bed was good and pillows too !
The owner was kind and very helpful.
Parking very close as well and safe .
Positioned just 2 minutes walk from the Piazza grande of Locarno !
It was really wonderful and we will be back !
Should offer cream and decaf tea /coffee for the price and like other other hotels this 4 star range offer) had to buy my decaf capsules and creamers)
Apart from that all was perfect !

Amazing location close to the Piazza Grande. The owner took the time to explain everything. We enjoyed this spacious suite decorated with taste. It was convenient to have a parking option close by. We received as well very good restaurants tips.
In this price range we are used to have a couple of cold drinks included in the price.

Very warm welcome, nice room with tea and coffee making facilities, easy to park through the arranged parking, great location close to town
Mattress on the bed was quite old - bed creaked and mattress is sagging, rooms not particularly soundproof
