Spacious room overlooking the front gardens. Had a seating area and a kitchenette with sink, stove and fridge. The hotel was adjacent to a large park with walking/cycling tracks round a lake - perfect for a bit of exercise.
A few kilometres from the town centre which required a car in the evening. Quite confusing directions into town and not many places serving food after 20.00hrs.

Excellent hotel residence.
The environment, the welcome

The room was lovely, much bigger than expected with a beautiful view over the lake. The lady at check in was also very friendly and helpful.
I was travelling with my dog and this was the perfect stop on our way to Spain - the hotel is adjacent to a path that takes you round the lake with endless options for walking. Bed was also incredibly comfortable.
The heavily fragranced washing powder used on the bedding and towels.

It’s in a great location over looking a lake
We had asked for a ground floor room. Apparently our room had an issue which couldn’t be mended as no one works on a weekend .

Location was great, right by the river. Good parking. Breakfast was great. Short drive to the centre of Bourges with free parking in the city. What a great city to explore and we managed to catch Les Nuits Lumière de Bourges which was amazing. Great place to stay and explore a lovely city.

Recently refurbished, this hotel is a nice slice of old France. Set away from the road, next to a wonderful lake and quiet. Room was super large, nicely appointed and clean - even had a small kitchenette - with views over gardens to lake. Super friendly and helpful staff and a great continental breakfast (not included but worth having). On outskirts of Bourg, so a 10 min drive to what is a fantastic medieval city centre.
Slight shame that tea/coffee facilities were not included in the room.

Drove from Calais. Great location. Beautiful building with fabulous lawn and lake along with cycle paths. Secure parking. Room 2 excellent and very clean on ground floor. We shopped locally and made supper in our room. Staff very kind and efficient. We had an early start so did not have breakfast. Will book again. We loved it. Thank you.

Beautiful building in a tranquil location on a lake outside Bourges. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and seem to have been renovated recently. The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful (we were at the later end for breakfast so the lady put croissants aside for us!)
It's nearly an hour's walk from the city centre and public transport isn't available in the evening so be prepared to use taxis. Be aware there is no air conditioning.

Yet another very comfortable stopover.

The chateau was really nice and the room was very spacious with a large, clean bathroom. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window overlooking the reservoir.
Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. The host was very welcoming and helpful, adding to the warm atmosphere.
The location next to the reservoir allowed for an evening walk, surrounded by calm and birdsong.
Overall, it was a welcoming, enjoyable, and authentic experience.
It was summer and the room was a little too warm during the night, there were no fans provided, but we opened the windows to good effect.
The placement of one of the tables in the room made it difficult to move around the bed, esp. if one person wanted to use the table. However, these were only minor inconveniences and didn’t detract from our stay.

As usual, a very comfortable stay and good value for money.

The location was excellent though it is a bit away from shops and eateries and the breakfast lacked choice but it was quiet and we’ll set up

The property’s garden was nice
The bed was a rock. A month later & im still in severe pain. Worst night of my life. No sleep. Great building , sub human facilities. Avoid like the plague. Awful place

Service was great from reception went above to help, carried bags to room, provided china and cutlery for our al fresco supper. Gave parking directions to the town.?
Entrance to car park tricky if got a big or very low car. Hard to swing in to the arch.
No kettle or cutlery although full cooking facilities in each room. But didn’t ask!

The whole place has a nice feel about it. The room was warm and comfortable with a nice view of trees and the lake. There is plenty of on site parking. When we left in the morning the car park was pretty full yet we heard nothing all night. Very easy to relax.

We were upgraded to a bigger room. The main advantage this room had over the one we were expecting is that it had a comfortable sofa (sofa bed I think) that we could sit on to relax.
We have stayed here a number of times, it is always quiet and comfortable and there are nice views of trees and the lake from the rooms.
There is plenty of on site parking.

lovely place, spotlessly clean, great staff, great location, great decor
couldn’t park in the car park, I had a trailer and there was a car parked opposite the entrance stopping me from gaining access with my vehicle, I was not happy about leaving a very valuable motorcycle out of view on the road outside in my trailer. I would suggest putting tea and coffee in the rooms to make the experience a far pleasurable one

Very quiet place in a beautiful setting on a little lake. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Our room, on the second floor, facing the old buildings was spacious and very clean.
You have to ask for kitchen utensils. I think it is too discourage cooking in the rooms.

Lovely property sympathetically renovated. Comfortable room with view over the lake and lakeside walks ideal for us with a lively dog. Comfortable bed, and quiet location. Good continental breakfast in a nice little breakfast room, with views over the garden.
Friendly staff
Good value for money, sorry it was just for a night on a transit journey. Would definitely go back to explore the area.
Not within walking distance of the town, not really an issue for us as we wanted space for the dog. Easy to get to by car.
