Value for money and overall a comfortable stay. We would recommend it.

The location was excellent for us because my brother in law and his family live close by. Tea making was useful. After reading some 2023 reviews of the property we expected to have a poor night. But the owner was very helpful and our stay was better than we expected.

The kettle worked, but the lid was broken and would not close. A spare or extra blanket would have been a bonus. We put all the nice thick towels on top of the duvet.

Number 4 Apartment - Clean, Comfortable, and Well-Located

We stayed at Number 4 Apartment in Derry and had a really good experience overall. The room was clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with two single beds and a private bathroom, which made the stay very comfortable. The location is also great, about a 15-minute walk to the city centre and all the major attractions, so it’s easy to explore Derry on foot. Free water 500ml in the room. All in all, a solid and convenient place to stay in Derry with good value for money.

The only minor downside was the touchpad entry system, which didn’t work properly for us at first and took several tries to open the door, a bit frustrating after a long day of travel. Other than that, everything was smooth and enjoyable.

Clean, cosey, comfortable...

The room was clean and cosey, bed was very comfortable, TV and en suite were great, en suite is spacious. Location is great, just what you need if you are looking for somewhere to stay close to town, clean and comfortable without breakfast. Self check in is very convenient.

Only deducted 1 star as you can hear some noise from adjoining room, doors are close together so to expect some level of noise although would just depend who is staying there I suppose

Very clean, towels laid out, and even shower gel in the dispenser. The tea, coffee, milk and bottled water was a nice touch!

Thought it was great value for money. Google maps did bring us to the wrong house so we spent a few minutes driving around to find it but I think that’s more a Google issue than Charlotte’ House.

The room was clean.

Upon arrival, if I hadn't already booked it, I would have turned and run. The outside was untidy and lawn obviously hadn't been mowed in a long time. It was situated in what to me, was a dodgy part of Derry. Didn't meet the host - you ring the bell and speak to him through an intercom. Room very small.

Fantastic interior. I was not expecting the towels laid out like a hotel or the tea and coffee. Nice touch. The area is super quiet so this permitted a good night sleep. the bathroom was spacious and clean too.

The only thing I would suggest is 2 fold. 1) I would suggest giving the outside a lick of paint as we say. The interior is amazing, but you might get a negative review with the exterior - it is ok, I am just being super finicky here. sorry lolol 2) The shower handle was lose, so maybe just check those kind of things but again, you can see that money and time has been put into the interior. Really really nice.

The location was first class - so close to the town centre and on a lovely quiet street. Parking wasn't an issue either. Taxi's were really cheap from the centre to the house.

Nice room with generous amenities. Very little sound insulation, so quite noisy.

Room was exactly as it appeared in pictures. Very well furnished and clean, and the tea/coffee facilities were a nice touch. As well as a bottle of water for each of us. Bathroom was modern and clean, and the shower was very nice.

Exterior of the building didn't fill us with massive confidence upon entry, and we had to double check we got the right place. The outside paint was peeled and chipped. The hallway was a bit of hodge podge of mess and cables. I appreciate there's only so much can be done with an older building like this, and great strides were made to make the actual bedroom as attractive as possible, but the room was located under the stairs, and there was zero noise insulation which meant that the guests in the room adjacent who came home late woke us up by slamming the front door, and being loud as they entered their room, and then in the morning the guests who were up early (7am-ish) woke us by simply getting themselves ready and leaving, so we didn't have a restful night unfortunately. Small patch of mould on the ceiling in the corner by the window as well, but not advanced, so I'd say that the owners know and are actively treating it.

DO NOT STAY HERE outside is very run down paint chipped off the exterior walls garden overgrown no shower gel in shower mouldy / stink in the bathroom toilet seat unstable water glasses dirty vanity table dirty Host unhelpful no contact with host until 15.09 (check in was 15.30) once we left the host contacted us by email to say we substantiality stained 2 towels and bed lining. They sent a photo which did show dirt but could be washed off in a 30 degree wash (makeup and wash off tan). They claim the stains did not come out after a boil wash. Which I very much doubt. I requested pictures of the towels etc after the so called boil wash but they have refused to reply and have taken FORTY EIGHT POUNDS from my credit card!!! they have not responded to my messages. No property should be allowed to just take money from peoples account without proof of so called damages. AGAIN DO NOT STAY HER
