Really enjoyed it for a night away to relax

The snug bar was good and the entertainment on Saturday night . The food in both the bar and the restaurant was great.

The restaurant was great as was the food but the door stayed open every time someone left or came in and it was really cold at times . I closed it myself a couple of times and told the waiter .

This was our second stay at the Waterfoot in 3 years. As with the last stay, we couldn't fault the hotel. Price, rooms, service and food excellent!! We will definitely be back again.

A hotel with potential

Clean, and spacious rooms good attentive reception. Nice bar and bar staff

Breakfast was terrible no fresh coffee no cups and food wasn’t replenished so BBC coming down later for breakfast didn’t go well! Although within the time. It was just disorganised.

Diabolical

The only thing going for this hotel is location

I requested a printed receipt for both food and accommodation and was refused. The hotel overall was dated, rooms smelled musty, there was a mayonnaise food bucket in the foyer where a roof leak was dripping into it. The breakfast was very poor.

Disappointing

Hotel itself was very nice. Restaurant was busy and food was fine, fairly standard. Breakfast was also nice, as I would expect for the amount paid. The location was good for us.

At the time of the booking we were not notified that there would be a lot of noise from a party/nightclub event in the hotel. The sound was very loud and made sleep impossible until it ended. A fire alarm also went off during this time for about 20 seconds. As we had an important event the next day we had hoped for a good night's sleep but this was made very difficult. There was a note in our room to notify us that certain events may mean some noise, however this note was far too late as we would already have checked in and paid. We paid quite a lot for this room so it was very disappointing. I didn't think it was fair to pay that amount for a disrupted night's sleep and belated apology. Presumably the hotel would have known that the planned event would result in a lot of noise for guests.

Derry Halloween break

Lovely big room with a big shower room. There was a small fridge with complimentary water. Also an iron plus ironing board. Reception staff very friendly. I enjoyed the city itself and people were friendly.

The hotel is off a busy roundabout and a bit further away from the city than I would like.

Superb place to stay.

Location was great, right off the main road. Restaurant and Bar were great, welcoming and great quality. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout.

Double bed was rather small, made the nights sleep a little disruptive.

Lovely hotel, would definitely staff again

Quick check in and all information given re breakfast etc. Upon entering the bedroom, you could immediately smell the cleanliness of the room, it was spotless. Breakfast had a great selection and staff were very attentive to requests.

The bathroom lock was broken and my child got distressed when it kept turning but kept locked. At 12am I had to open from outside. Fridge in room was making a lot of noise during the night. Also the only table with mirror area to sit and do your hair and make up had the fridge on it. The pre made tea was very strong at breakfast time. But staff kindly got a tea pot of fresh tea for me.

Part two of our visit to Derry

Our first stay the week before was really good Especially the snug bar

Our second visit a week later was awful. As returning visitors we were giving an upgrade by the lovely guy on reception. When we got into the room, it looked like the bed had been slept in and not changed, We went and asked in reception and he said he was told that the room was definitely ready, We also mentioned that there was no toilet roll and the bins hadn't been emptied. He said he would deal with it. We said we would go and eat in the restaurant and give them a chance to do this , When we got back to the room, the bed had been made,but the sheets had just been thrown on the chair. Also the bin hadn't been emptied and still no toilet roll so my wife had to go and use the toilet in the bar. When we went back the third time,there was toilet rolls but the bins still hadn't been emptied and the sheets were still on the chair. This was 90 mins after we had been allocated the room. Quite unacceptable for such a class hotel. If these are the things that were very visible to us, It makes us worried about the things that we couldn't see in the room etc. I have complained to the hotel about this but they have failed to reply

It's fine but kinda far from the city center

The room was big and very clean. The bed was very comfortable..the bathroom had everything you needed.

The hotel It's actually not as close to the city of Derry as they say. It takes about 13-15 minutes drive depending on the traffic to get in the city center. Reception stuff okay but could be friendlier and nicer. The lights in the room...just ambient lights . We had people with kids next to us... plenty of kids..in more than 1 room...there was a lot of noise.. just like having a room in the middle of a nursery... terrible.. because we actually want it to rest after a long car journey..
