Living history, soak up the experience. Brilliant city.

Beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. The host was very attentive and liaised with us every step of the way He answered my queries promptly and in great detail .The location was fantastic, right overlooking the famous walls and old cannons. The old town nearby is really buzzing with loads of traditional authentic Irish pubs. Can't wait to come back and spend more time there.

The stairs were a bit of a struggle for my wife who has a disability . I should probably have mentioned this earlier . It is after all, a traditional 3 story terraced house of its period The whole area is surrounded by sites of historic significance .

Very close to the city centre and places of entertainment. Easy access and direction to the bus station. Comfortable bed with good hot water. Breakfast of various cereals, toast, tea and coffee.

A room at the front would have been nice, rear view was of old dilapidated buildings.

I'd choose Number 8 The Townhouse again. The waiter also gave me a lift to my examination centre.

There were a variety of cereals to choose from. And there was fruits to have.

I liked everything and I felt warm irrespective of the snow outside.

A little hidden gem in Derry

It was close and conveniently located!! It was warm in its welcome — the manager was not in at the time of my arrival but he had sent me the main door code, where to find my room key, and had left a lamp on in my room and I found that very welcoming!

The only issue was parking — but because I arrived on a Sunday, parking was free a day until 08:00 next day, then I could have 1 hr free but couldn’t return. That worked out well for me though.

very relaxed excellent stay .

Room was very nice ,with on suite. Bed was comfortable,and room was well heated . there are no lifts and i had to climb stairs which for me was a bit difficult ,this is my problem , all the rest of my party had no problem with the stairs .

The stairs , I have knee problems . The Townhouse is smack in the middle of all the main places in Derry city that you could wish to see . We got the train up from Belfast which was great and the small city bus from train station left us almost at the door of house .

Very enjoyable

Great location with parking within easy walking distance. Our room was very comfortable with views over the city wall. There were plenty of dining options nearby. Our host was friendly and the breakfast area was beautifully decorated. Despite the central location, it was very quiet at night. The check-in process was simple.

Finding close, safe parking was difficult. It was on the inside part of the Wall. Lots of sounds all night from inside and outside the building. Doorway from street was very narrow, and breakfast was "in the basement." We had no idea where the basement was or how to get to it. There was a locked sitting room on the ground floor, but it was covered in linens in the back half, so not likely where the proffered breakfast would be.

Great Location & good value

This lovely old townhouse is located perfectly to explore the city of Derry. We booked last minute and arrived early but the room was ready and check in was super easy even though the Host wasn't there. The room was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. Derry is busy and parking is limited but we got a space quickly enough. We met the host at breakfast and he's very friendly and helpful. Overall very good value for money in a property that has bags of character but the location is the outstanding feature, perfect to explore the City.

Excellent room right on the Citys Walls. A great host and couldn't fault anything. Only think to note for people is that there is no lift so you may have to walk up a couple of flights of stairs.
