Relaxing very comfortable base to explore Harrogate and surrounding area from

The threshing barn is ideally situated for Harrogate ,Harlow Carr gardens /Bettys cafe are half a mile away . Lots of great walks we walked from Harlow Carr to Harrogate Valley gardens to a Christmas market The local pub less than half a mile away is good open fires ,food is good pub grub. Accommodation wise it was perfect for us one bedroom with en suite kitchen and living room all well equipped The property is beautifully decorated ,we took away some ideas for our own house decoration!! Thanks to Kate for the milk tea coffee sugar etc oh and the numerous delicious chocolates! I came back a kilo heavier after just two night stay ! 😂 The property and Kate / Andrew are very dog friendly

We would definitely recommend.

We loved the property and location. We arrived to milk , biscuits, chocolate, and orange juice. Well equipped kitchen. The property felt very spacious. The owner was lovely. We would not hesitate to re book.

There was nothing I didn't like . If I were to stay longer, a washing machine would be useful and a smart tv. But that's just our preference. It wouldn't stop us from re booking.

Wonderful place to stay!

A beautiful place to stay, very close to Harrogate and a lovely pub within walking distance. The barn was immaculate, very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The host Kate was lovely and waiting to welcome us in when we arrived. Would highly recommend staying here.

Best place ever to relax and unwind

Everything...from initial look for accommodation in Harrogate area, to securing the booking, to receiving perfect directions and information from the owner, to the accommodation, to sadly leaving. It was a prefect little gem of a find, giving us the most relaxing weekend ever; that good we booked again for a week in May 26 already. The host was very nice and helpful, meeting us and saying goodbye in person, a very nice touch.

Brilliant friendly hosts. Lovely surprise of milk, fresh orange and chocolates in the accommodation. Very peaceful location, a perfect place to unwind. Only a couple of miles from Harrogate. Lovely local pub and Betty's tearooms where they served delicious cakes.

Only comment (observation) is that it has skylights high up in the roof. There are no covers for these so it is very bright in the early mornings.

The house is full of character and beautifully set out. All the feeling of home, Idilic countryside views and only a stones throw from harrogate The Host is wonderful and super friendly, parking is simple and easy and the property has every amenity you could need Would love to stay again 💖

Relaxing break in beautiful surroundings.

The barn is in a beautiful location close to Harrogate centre. The wonderful surroundings make for a very relaxing stay. Kate is a fantastic host and the welcoming touches are very much appreciated.

We love everything about the property. If I had to be picky it could do with a few more glasses, but that’s it.

Cosy cottage. Welcoming style & colours. A great mix of modern meets old building. Quiet. Peaceful. Rural, but easy access to everything. Taxis were not a problem if you didn’t want to drive.

A hidden gem near Harrogate

What a lovely apartment in a picturesque location, we loved everything about our stay. Kate was friendly and welcoming and even the family cats came out to welcome us! The accommodation had everything we needed as a home away from home, including a full kitchen. A DVD player and DVDs was a nice touch, as were the flowers and provisions (including wine and chocolates!). We really didn't want to leave.

Should have booked for at least the week, instead of a weekend.

Really Thankful the owners were home upon arrival, as wasn't sure exactly where the accommodation was, a wee bit confusing which building was the accommodation as there is (no sign saying Thrashing Barn), where to enter & park. The bed is truly fantastic - Best Sleep in ages. Never heard any car traffic as this is set well away from the main road. This is most definitely in the country, there are sheep close by, and the next door neighbours have dogs, horses & at least one really cute Pig.... that you can see and hear....We are very appreciative that this is a Dog Friendly accommodation - Will Definitely come back if they will have us again !!

There wasn't anything I didn't like. The courtyard is shared with the owners, and not sure if we were allowed to use the enclosed green area leading from the kitchen/dinning area, therefore it is not exactly 'private' with saying that, I never saw the owners when I used the outside courtyard area on the Saturday as they were away.

Great stay in a peaceful location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Threshing Barn, the cottage was immaculately presented and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Kate was a superb host, very friendly and the little touches of chocolates and juice were appreciated. Harrogate was close enough for a slow stroll and the dog friendly pub nearby was also good. We'd happily stay here again and recommend to others.
