It is truly worth staying here. The town & hotel exceeded all of our expectations.

Perhaps having a choice of pillows in the room. Having a firmer pillow in the room may have been preferable.

Soglio is a retreat for the soul

Great location, incredible views. Easy access from parking lot. Would stay here again, for certain.

Minor note: the kitchen radio music was loud enough to impeded the dining experience. Very early in the season and few travelers made for a quiet room.

Exceptional

The hotel has a lovely terrace and garden that are ideal for enjoying pre dinner drinks. Soglio is a beautiful village and after the long hike from Casaccia it was so good to arrive at this hotel. The rooms are very well appointed (modern chic) and dinner was very good.

We loved our stay. The wait staff are the best.

The breakfast was really good as well as the 2 dinners we had there. My husband highly recommends the wild deer on the menu. In his words the best meal of our vacation.

We lived our stay the only negative is that it's across the street from a church and we aren't used to the church bells ringing every hour.

Wonderful with a few flaws

Wonderful location, room had a small, nice balcony with a magnificent view (room 6), roomy clean bathroom, wonderful, inviting terrace with great view. Very friendly and helpful breakfast lady.

Not particularly comfortable furniture (no loungers or cushions for chairs), rooms poorly sound-proofed (neighboring guests could be heard sneezing, talking, walking around, etc.). Not necessarily the place for pure peace and quiet although the location might suggest this. Breakfast was average (based on personal taste, e.g. cheapest Lipton tea, I was slightly disappointed that there were no eggs, no margerine, only butter), not complaining, just not as delightful as the location

Very good location - 2min from the bus station and just next to the church. Beautiful view from the hotel room. Very good restaurant. Simple but large and comfortable room - consistent style with the tranquil and beautiful Soglio town.

The church bell rings every now and then, but acceptable.

Excellent hotel, highly recommended!

Great location. Passed some old houses on the way up the hill to the village and hotel, beautiful setting. Soglio itself is beautiful, very quiet, great views. The hotel is right at the entrance to the village. It has a paid parking lot right nearby, and if it’s full there’s another paid parking lot a couple of hundred meters away. The room was large and spotless. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was tasty with fresh produce.

The room was hot for us, so we opened a window. As the village was orally quiet, this was no problem. Also, the mattress was too soft for us, but this is personal preference. These are minor things.

The only thing one could criticize is that the church bells do not even stop through the night. Besides that it's a really great place.

Ruhiger Aufenthalt in einem historischen Ambiente

Das Haus hat ein historisches Ambiente und liegt im gut erhaltenen Dorf mit einer tollen Aussicht über das Tal. Innen alles modern und sauber. Personal sehr freundlich.

Das Bad war hervorragend modern. Das Zimmer selber war funktional, könnte aber etwas stilvoller eingerichtet werden.

Einzigartiges Urlaubserlebnis zum Weiterempfehlen.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist überwältigend. Das wunderbare Nachtessen wird uns noch lange in sehr guter Erinnerung bleiben. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross und zweckmässig eingerichtet, die Nasszelle frisch modernisiert und mit einer tollen Regendusche ausgestattet. Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel, das wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können und ganz sicher wieder besuchen werden.

Uns hat ausnahmslos alles gefallen. Als einziger Hinweis könnte angefügt werden, dass das grosse Zimmer einen oder zwei bequeme Stühle zum Hinsetzen und verweilen vertragen könnte.
