The elegance and the warmth of the fire in the dining room!
I can’t think of anything I did not like

The historic building and the town
Parking is an issue, as you have to haul your luggage quite a ways.

an exceptional place, full of charm, astounding elegance without pretence, very friendly staff
difficult to get the suitcase from and to the parking lot, a big construction site by the bus stop, though that by no means a fault of the hotel

This is an amazing piece of living history and if you want to experience Switzerland from the past, it is highly recommended. The food is excellent and the beds amazing. The staff and hosts were awesome and I would stay there again.
Our room had thin interior walls so we could hear every word from our neighbours.

The Palazzo is historic, in a very good up-keep, still owned by the original family . The surrounding village and scenery is magnificent.
The gardens ( once the Sun came out) were lovely. The staff very helpful, efficient, and do everything for you to feel comfortable. ( in a 500 + year-old place!!) I had a problem with the height of the bed, and they immediately sorted my predicament out. Food was also very good, home-made , for breakfast and dinner too.
There is a gentleman who does a short" guided tour"of the village which is well worth it... we have learnt a lot about the area. Ask the Tourist Info !!!
You have to look closely what you are booking: only a handful rooms have their own bathrooms!!! You have to like old furniture , (in excellent state!!) and the high steps leading up to the rooms on 3 floors!!! ( as lifts did not exist at those times) also have to look closely at the pricing!
There is only one English ( and no French!) fascicule written by the owner ( member of the original family) unfortunately... could do with more!!! , explaining the origins of the Palazzo, which is fascinating, and the gardens, full of botanical wonders.

Room location

Location absolutely fabulous. Breakfast great.
The beds are historic, unusually high and narrow (120cm) But that's a difficult choice between original details and comfort. Matrass was fine.

Personeel is heel vriendelijk!

Camera poco illuminata e con toilette condivisa, difficile accesso auto e parcheggio lontano.

Durfte mein Motorrad beim Hotel parkieren.
