A gem of a location. Our room looked over the clock tower with the mountains towering in the background. It was picture postcard perfect. Rooms apear to have been newly renovated. It was a very quiet and comfortable location. The village of Chiavenna is beautiful, looking like it has been untouched by time. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer.

Excellent refurbished hotel in the middle of the town. Free parking behind the hotel and attached nice restaurant in the same building. Bed was good and the bathroom just remodeled. Nice views from the room to the mountains! Only negative thing was the noises coming from outside (young people partying until 3am as it was saturday). Chiavenna was a beautiful town! Would come again and stay in this hotel.

The staff and food was all great. The location is very good except when it is a weekend with the party people circling the hotel until after midnight. I do remember when I was young so having earplugs does help. I would suggest they take the bright green light off of the phone on the wall as it lights up the whole room. Thank goodness for eyeshades 😃.

We had a great stay at the hotel San Lorenzo. Everybody was super friendly and our dogs were also welcome. Dinner was excellent. Fresh and declicious food and the wine was also very good. Our room was clean and had a little balcony with a great view up the montains. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. The breakfast was good, with a small, but fresh and good tasting variety of what you would expect from an italian style breakfast. The coffee maschine in self service surprised us with very good cappuccino - all you can drink :-) All in all, we would recomend everyone hotel San Lorenzo for a stay in Chiavenna - and for us it was for sure not the last time that we went there.

Breakfast was excellent, staff made little effort to understand. Room was small and shower was so small that turning around in it was impossible. Heat / cooling controls did not work in room for 3 nights

Man at front desk had a bad attitude. They did not honor our reservation and we had to sleep in the car as all other hotels were sold out.Horrible experience, find another hetel that honors its Expedia reservations.
