Clean, there is always coffee/tea, it’s in the centre of town, hot water when taking a shower, cozy & very polite staff.

I liked absolutely 100% the service from the hotel.

Great location, quirky hostel, kind staff.

I really appreciated my room. I had booked a bed in the 4 bed dormitory, but the lady who met me on my arrival kindly moved me into a double room! This was very understanding and kind of her. The hostel is quirky and in a great location in the Old Town. The kitchen facilities are excellent, as are the bathrooms. It was very homely and tea and coffee was provided. Towels were also provided free of charge.

It was cold at night, and I couldn’t see any extras blankets.

Far more than a hostel - it's a tastefully decorated, individual and homely place to stay

As I wanted to meet more people I decided to stay at this hostel. It is however far more than a hostel - everyone has more than ample room for themselves and there are no bunk beds or twenty people in room - the things traditionally associated with hostels. It has ample "goodies"for all (complementary coffee and loads of other things). Best of all, the decor is very individual and lovely throughout. In summary, it's far more than a hostel - it's tastefully decorated, individual and a homely place to stay at. Highly recommended

The shared shower and toilet was half a floor down from my level. The rest are minor things - being up a narrow lane can make it a bit harder to find than other places, the front door lock can be fiddly and should really be replaced, the host lives off site - this seems to be very common in Bulgaria - which can slow down basic communication.

Great place to stay with unique decoration at the heart of Veliko Tarnovo.

This place is perfectly situated between the historical sites and the bars and restaurants district.

You can hear the music from the nearby bar on Saturday nights.

Lovely place to stay in Veliko Tarnovo old town 💖

The hostel is beautifully located in the Old Town, which makes it a lovely place to stay. The staff were very nice, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. They provided all the information I needed and kindly accommodated my request for a 4 AM check-in. They even followed up with a message to ensure everything was set for my arrival. The hostel itself feels like a charming antique-style house, yet it is well kept, clean, and fully equipped. I appreciated that they provided towels, which is always a plus.

The only downside was the creaky wooden floors on the second floor, which can be a bit noisy. Additionally, the glass doors to the rooms make quite a bit of noise when closing. My pillow was also a bit thin, which made it less comfortable.

Awesome hostel. Loved the decor and room set up. Cosy and homely and enough cups/plates/cutlery etc in the kitchen. Central location but quiet and warm. Hot showers.

Someone brought their dog the second night and left it in the room unattended so it barked non stop for hours. Super annoying. They should make a rule if you bring your dog, you can’t leave it unattended because the dog is going to bark and make life miserable for everyone else

beautiful and affordab;e in an exceptional part of town

It was very quiet and relaxing inspite of it being a hostel. Me and my frined had out bery own proivate large room and the showers were clean and available and close by. it might be a bit more hectic in peak summer but off season it was perfect. Our hostess was delightful (I wish i remembered her name!)

Heaven on Earth

Everything! Seriously, one of the prettiest hostels I have ever stayed in. Friendly staff, even when she was sick, she was super professional. Free coffee/tea and washing machine. It's just out of this world!

Absolutely nothing related to the accommodation, but you have to be lucky to find parking next to the place. Also very skillful, because the streets are narrow and uneven.

Nice hostel in a great location

Great location, nice staff. The room was very nice and had a good heater. The kitchen was pretty well equipped.

The bathrooms were quite cold, one did have a heater which didn't work. Wouldn't be an issue outside of winter though!

pleasant stay in the heart of the old town, easy walk to fortress

Location was nice, rooms were also nice too. Nice people and lovely old house

Bed covers were a little too small for bed, kept falling off, heating could be better, but its an old building, so not much can be done about the roof insulation. Check in could have been better, had to wait one hour, as they were out.. Instructions could have been given in advance so i wasnt left in the cold.

Lucy is super nice. The hostel has a very welcoming homey vibe and charm to it, like your visiting a friend. Location is in center of town, lockers, free washing!, a/c, kitchen. Showers OK, can better but over all a very nice hostel stay.

We were supposed to stay in room in hostel, but because of overbooking we got place in other facility nearby. It was amazing place! We shared a house with another couple. The place was incredible - we have a view of the valley and balcony. The staff were really nice and helpful, there were no problem with leaving our baggage after check out. Love this place!

Families with large dogs

I find it hard to reconcile my experience with the previous reviews. Rather than being a good place for solo travellers, it was me and two families, one of whom had two dogs - one very large, roaming around the common area which affected access to the front door, kitchen and stairs to my room. I had been attacked by a dog 5 weeks previously and when I showed my bandaged leg to the owner, they didn't seem to understand how having a large dog in a shared space would be upsetting. I know my experience is atypical, but it perhaps reflects the extent to which this hostel is a welcome place for all. When I arrived at 7.30 pm the bathrooms and kitchen hadn't been cleaned and there were piles of linens in the hallway waiting to be washed. When I asked the host for recommendations of places to walk, she said I should look online.

It’s very noisy and it was hard to sleep at night: on one side the noisy street (cars), on the other the other residents of the hostel not respecting the “quiet after 10pm” rule and children screaming in the bedroom next to ours The bathrooms and kitchen were not very clean

it’s literally the best experience I’ve ever stay in a hostel, I booked a single room with two beds, the bed is soft and

everything: especially the atmosphere and the decorations itself. the staff is really helpful. Located in the old town center but is quiet

maybe a little bit far from bus station on foot. Also the alley the hostel located is a slope, might not be so friendly for travelers with large luggage

Great for solo travellers

This hostel had the best of both worlds, cause it's a good place to meet other travellers but also has private rooms. The decoration gave it a nice vibe and it was very clean. The girl at the reception gave me some recommendations about what to see and where to eat in Veliko Tarnovo.

The showers at the first floor were quite small, I just used the ones at the top floor.
