Guest House Diel

Good location . Quiet but not far from restaurants and bars and old town . Close to bus station . . BUT . Approx 150 stairs to climb on the way .

Hosts said accommodation was over booked and didn't have a room available . Only the apartment was left that initially she wanted to charge more for . . . After standing our ground that that is what we booked and had already paid for . . We was then given 1 room in the apartment and use of the shared bathroom.at the same price we had already paid . . We was asked not to use the rest of the apartment and not to touch the extra 3rd bed in the room . . Which was not an issue . The issue was resolved at no extra cost . I think this may be a regular issue with booking issues but did not feel it was right to be paying extra for more than we needed for a 1 night stay . Just somewhere to put our heads .

Really friendly and helpful owner. Apartment was very clean and close to the centre. All amentities were on hand to cook, wash, sleep. There was even a washer and tumble dryer available too.

There was no coffee in the room but a trip to the local shop soon sorted that as all the facilities to make a drink/food was available in the room.

We stayed for just one night, but it was wonderful. Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with towels and toiletries provided. The location is fantastic, close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. Our host was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful, and she made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We had an evening bus, and she kindly invited us to use the common areas and leave our backpacks until then, which we truly appreciated. We definitely recommend this guesthouse and would love to come back and stay longer.

We liken the accommodation and its location very much. The beds were comfortable. The host was nice and cooperative. We will return.
