The property was beautifully maintained, peaceful, and a wonderful resting place for my family. Our mornings were serene. And after a long day, we quickly fell asleep on the comfortable bedding. We loved the traditional aspect of the building, but still had the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. It was a perfect stay. My entire family loved their time in Kyoto.
We had to leave. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

The beautiful Machiya house offers an enchanting experience, transporting you back to the charm of old Japan. Its traditional architecture and serene atmosphere create a truly unique and memorable stay.

Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Staff is very polite and offers taxi service from check in location to the townhouse.
Sound isolation, however they specifically warn about that, so I wouldn’t really list that as something negative, rather than something visitors should be ready for.
