Isolation fine pour le bruit

The location was perfect - we could walk to some parts of Kyoto, and to the train station. There was also a bus stop near. There weren't many tourists around, which was a good thing. And you get to sleep in a traditional, authentic Japanese house, which is a nice experience. The futons were really comfortable and overall, the interior was cool. We could use a washing machine, which was a plus. The instructions from the owner were clear.

It's extremely noisy. The walls are literally made of paper and you can hear EVERYTHING from the street, like it were inside the house. Although it's not on such a busy street, my earbuds didn't block out the noise from the cars or from the passersby. The first night, I barely slept. Also, there's this courier company just next door, the one that ships luggage around, so you can hear all the noise they're making all day long (they roll carts full of luggage in the street).
