Wonderful traditional stay! Absolutely everything was perfect – clean, comfortable Japanese-style room, tatami and futon atmosphere, and superb location near Kyoto Station. Special thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff at the daily bar. Highly recommend!

Hearty breakfast! Warm welcome! Private bath is available with a small fee. Worth every penny. So overall, very relaxing. Highly recommended for nice traditional Japanese/Kyoto experience.
Bathroom attached to the room was a tad tricky. Required some coordination to reach washing basin. Not deal breaker, however.

kind and friendly staff, comfortable futon style bed
felt a bit tired - some broken fixtures in room, tired lobby decor, old smell in hallway and common areas
