I wish I was a little closer to Gion or other spots like it, although being at walking distance from the train station is practical !

Quiet neighborhood, yet central (10 minutes walk to the Central Station). The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, but a decent coffee for free in the lobby. Staff very friendly and speaks a little English. Room small (like in all of Japan), but with only small luggage we managed. Would definitely recommend it to a friend.
We had a ground floor room, and the only window looked out on a parking garage, which made it quite dark. But then we’ve only been there to sleep.
