Beautiful location. Lovely breakfast. Fresh breads, yoghurt, eggs, meat, cheese. Arranged at time convenient for us. Served by a very friendly host.

Didn’t like the toilet being open to the living area with no door. Wish there was a lock on the door to our individual room.

Wonderfull

This is the most beautiful place where we have ever slept 😍 the view to the molins directly from the bed is incredible!! Furthermore, Sharon is really nice, the breakfast she prepared for us every morning was great. The place is located in Zaanse Schans so you can have a visit there or with the train you can arrive to Amsterdam (15 minutes and a few Euro ticket) or to Rotterdam. All fantastic!!

Host Sharon could not have been more helpful. Fantastic place to stay, really different experience.

Breakfast was wonderful, so many options. Bread types, jams/preserves, yogurt, fresh juice, tea/coffee. Cooked egg options. Bedroom at end of house overlooks the river on three sides. Windmill boat trips and museums on your doorstep, right outside, easy walking experience.

Unable to use the TV system. No instructions, also a few hints and tips booklet for house would have been helpful.

A vacation in paradise

Everything is perfect. clean and comfortable room with everything you may need. Comfortable bed, clean towels, coffee maker, and electric kettle for tea and hot drinks. The view is amazing and very close to windmills. Free parking was also very good, especially with my old parents but you can also go by train to central Amsterdam in 20 min. Sharon is a super host. She was very welcoming and helpful all the time. She made our vacation more enjoyable, and she did all her best to make us happy . She was very generous, and Bibi was very helpful. The breakfast was very good in taste and variety with eggs, cold cuts, yogurt, juice, and bakery. I highly recommend it for a relaxing family vacation

The owner was amazing. Very friendly and very helpful. She made us feel very welcomed. Delicious breakfast. Pleasantly surprised by the sheep across the street. Beautiful backyard right on the water.

Perfect dog-friendly accommodation, location & lovely host

Magical place to stay. Fantastic location with amazing views & a lovely host. Perfect for a stay with the dog with great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend ‘De Hoop op d'Swarte Walvis’ just 2 doors down & also across the bridge ‘Wolfsend’ which is dog-friendly. Amsterdam city centre just 15 mins away by train from village station. Waking up to views of the early morning mist amongst the windmills was amazing. We can’t wait to return.

Very pleasant stay

Warm hospitality from gentle and friendly staff (Ms.Sharon) who fluently English communication and tons of Ams attractive points and activity suggestion. The impressive original Dutch house with magnificent Zaan river view. The whole house is extremely clean in every corner and feels comfortable like home. Overall is higher than my expectation in quiet and calm location surrounding real antique community with convenient transportation. If I have the chance to go to north Halland again, I certainly won’t stay in the other place.

Great location

Its a really nice location, peaceful and serene. Its like from an other era. We really liked it. The room was good enough and the breakfast was great. The owner helped us as quickly as she could when we needed help. The train station is just 10-15 mins walk from there so you can go anywhere you want. And around the village there are a lot of sweet little shops and souvenirs. It was a nice stay.
