Amazing location and base to explore Oia from and watch sunsets

Location was amazing for morning breakfasts, as base to explore Oia early in the morning before the crowds arrive, to chill out during the day and to watch the sunset from you poolside lounger. The staff were so nice and helpful.

The bathrooms could have done with a bit of work. Cost was high too.

A major disappointment

Nothing except the view!

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing, unsafe, and did not meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. Serious Safety Issues: My sister burned her foot during our stay, and when we urgently needed assistance, the reception was completely closed. After 11 p.m there was absolutely no staff anywhere in the hotel no reception, no emergency contact, no support. In case of a real emergency, we would have had no way to get help. This is a severe safety concern. The property had countless steep, narrow stairs that were difficult and dangerous to walk on, also while she burned her leg was so scary her to go all stairs in dark! Simply going to the room or the pool took at least 20 minutes each way. With my sister injured, moving around became nearly impossible, and no assistance was offered.Poor Cleanliness & Hygiene as well The rooms and bathrooms were not properly cleaned, the private pool was dirty, and there were bugs and lizards. The property did not feel sanitary or well-maintained.Uncomfortable Rooms The room was very small and uncomfortable. The third bed provided was extremely small and unsuitable for proper sleep and we booked room for 3 person we barely unpacked suitcases It was not what we expected or what was advertised when booking. Poor Service Lack of Availability While technically there was “room service,” it was barely functional. Staff were unresponsive, unavailable, and unfriendly. We felt completely alone in the hotel, as if there was no one to turn to. Low-Quality Food: Breakfast was unacceptable the only option was an omelette that tasted bad, and the staff serving it were rude. This is not the quality promised or expected. Also they were joking on us It was a Disappointment Overall, the hotel did not feel like a proper hotel at all. Between the lack of staff, poor service, unsafe conditions, unclean environment, and extremely uncomfortable facilities, our stay was stressful and unpleasant.

Location was amazing, best views from our front porch, great drinks, helpful staff. Transfers from hotel were great and they loaded and unloaded luggage.

Ruined by no running water with the property taking no accountability and hardly offering any consolation.

The staff were incredibly nice considering the circumstances. The location and the view were stunning.

Following a storm the day before we arrived, the property did not have running water. For 3 days, our entire stay, the property had running water back on during the late night for a few hours, but we would wake up and go the whole day without running water again. No ability to clean ourselves, get ready for the day, even flush the toilet, and the pool was unusable. BUT, the property was constantly power washing the facade. A front desk employee told me that the owners were prioritizing cleaning the property over having running water for the guests, which stunned me. After lots of back and forth, I managed to barely get any money back, considering we were paying upwards of $300 a night for this place. Completely ridiculous to not have running water and still expect to pay a premium price.

Amazing stay!

Great 4 nights stay at this hotel. Room is impecable cleaned, spacious, Comfortable bed, all rooms have spectacular not interrupted sunset view. The staff is very welcoming and informative. María (front desk) is awesome, she explained every detail for us to have the best holiday in the island. Also she made reservations at restaurants and tours. This makes our stay more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The staff always greets with a smile and friendly hello. Very eager to make us comfortable and help with anything to make our stay enjoyable. The were magnificent. Extra big shout out to two men at the pool bar and the men who helped with our suitcases. The food and drinks both for day by the pool and at the evening restaurant was very good. We will give the Esperas a very high rating on social media.

The steep steps at times were a little much. Would like to have seen a separate restaurant area.

Very good location. Perfect for watching the sunset in Oia. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff were excellent! Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Nothing I didn’t like. Although we had a duplex room, which wouldn’t be good for people with walking difficulties as the steps were very steep to get from the living area down to the bedroom. Also, the steps around the properly are quite steep too, we were fine with them, but again one to watch if you aren’t good at stairs.

Truly an incredible experience, would absolutely return!

The most perfect location- close to the bustle of Oia but away from foot traffic. Prime sunset location and lovely facilities. Lots of steps! But the whole city is steps, and worth every one.

The breakfast was good but not great. Small improvements like better meats and coffee refills would help, and an easier system for ordering.

A good selection of breakfast items.

Photos show a kitchenette, however, there are supplies provided except Kettle, cups and saucers. Our jacuzzi was too warm and we couldn’t use it on arrival. We left some items hanging in the wardrobe and when we contacted them to arrange to get the items we were told nothing was found in our room.

Magical view and energy

This place has an amazing view and ambient is beautiful. For me it is important the decoration of the place and Esperas is very well designed. Staff is great, willing to help you and resolve any issue that you may have.

The registration process with the Ipads is too long.

There are several choices for breakfast, and taste good, specially in the front of beautiful ocean. hotel is offering luggage delivery service , which is necessary due to a lot of steps needed before arriving hotels. Room service is ok , efficiency.

We booked two rooms with cave , one shower did not go well, due to unstable water temperature.

Luxurious cliffside stay with sunset views and amazing service

The location is stunning, providing an amazing view of the caldera, Thirasia, and the sunset. , Tucked away making the whole experience special. The whole service team was EXCELLENT, the reception team were especially lovely, friendly, attentive and responsive. Best of all they were available via WhatsApp to arrange bookings, answer questions etc. Never had that before, it was awesome! They provided us recommendations tailored to us leading to a day we will never forget! While this might be an expensive stay for some, it's definitely worth experiencing once if you want to stay in Oia. We would stay here again if the opportunity ever arises.

The entire staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

I was there the first day of opening, and they weren't 100% ready for guests. That said, every wish or request was granted.
