La Terrazza degli Oleandri

A really well placed apartment for quick access to the town and the lake. Very friendly welcome on arrival and some lovely treats left for us which were very much appreciated. Although there aren't really views from the terrace, it was perfect for eating and drinking on and even had a canopy if needed. It was spotlessly clean.

Comms in advance were not so good. Was unsure of parking arrangements and didn't want to navigate narrow cobbled streets in hire car. But we parked on the front and walked to it ... Literally 4 minutes. Our host was there waiting for us and showed us free parking nearby. Also, we only had one set of keys for two couples ... It really was like Fort Knox with three locks to get in and out. Although this made us feel safe in our beds, another set would have been helpful - and safer. When left in the apartment you were locked in with no way of exit - worrying if there had been an emergency.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli, emplacement idéal, à la fois proche du centre de Stresa et au calme. Je recommande vivement.

The apartment was close to lake, well equipped, immaculately clean. Plenty of snacks on arrival and Prosecco

If you are driving to apartment it is on a narrow one way street to collect keys and secure parking 10 mins walk away. Have to leave your luggage and one person at entrance, then car parked. Arrange meet at an easier location? Shower small over bath

Great location. Great city The contact prior to the visit was very good and in English. (most likely not the host in the appartment...)

Very rude host. In the last morning at exactly 10:00:00 am she noked on our door while we were preparing ourselves to leave. We asked for additional few minutes to complete the check out process but she refused. She got inside the appartment with angry face and stood there while she's make noises which sound like curses in Italian. (She didn't speak English) It was insulting and damaged our staying in the beautiful Stresa. At the end this is what we will remember. One of reasons for the delay is the parking spot which is in a public area 5 minutes from the appartment, and not really near the house. It requires extra logistic time, and some luck to find a free spot. Anyway, at 10:19 we were out... (no charge for these extra 19 minutes...) The beds in the apartment are not comftable, and sleep is not smooth for all the family, you prepare yourselves to wake up few times at night. It was a bit hot inside with no A/C only fan. In the early morning (~ 7am) there were noises down stairs due to re-decoration in the ground floor. (The apprtment is in the upper first floor , not suitable for disables )
