Location was good

Room was not vacuumed well. Toilet had ring and shower wasn't clean. Package of soap had orange sticky stuff on it (gross). The sauna facilities were dirty (floor, glass door) Front desk was unstaffed when we tried to check out. Note said "will be back in 15 minutes". I tried to call while at the front desk, but received auto response. When front desk clerk returned, I tried to tell her that she should add the time she leaves the front desk in addition to 'be back in 15 minutes", so guest would know when they can check out. The clerk then made the following statement: " I only put the note up when I go to the bathroom ". (I didn't need to know that and was simply trying to suggest she should put a time on her note) The breakfast area was not staffed, so the area had spilled waffle batter, dirty tables, food left in toaster etc. I have never stayed at a hotel where the breakfast area was unstaffed.

Overall it was okay

I liked the location. Just a few minutes away from all major attractions.

It could’ve been better if the door latch had not been broken. Also, I feel like the walls need some deep cleaning. We found a strawberry between the mattress and headboard.

Clean, easy to access beach. Beds were very comfortable.

Passed through for 1 night only

Great value room. We were just passing through so didn't spend a lot of time here but it was perfectly clean and comfortable. We got an Uber to Monterey which cost something around $20 each way. Breakfast included was a great perk, we had waffles with sausage and egg, there were also a selection of juices and pastries.

Clean and comfortable close to CSUMB

We've stayed here several times while visiting our child, who attends nearby CSUMB. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The beds are very comfortable, which is something I rarely say about hotel beds. Breakfast is standard fare, nothing remarkable. The water and coffee available in the lobby is a nice benefit.

The facility is starting to show it's age and could use sone TLC. The door to the barhroom wouldn't close without significant force and the shower splashed water onto the floor next to the toilet. Grab bars in the shower would be appreciated since it's such a high sided tub to step into. The ice machine on our floor was out of order and the carpets need to be refreshed.

Staff. Desk clerk gave me a room that was already occupied. Desk clerk called the room to tell us to be quiet but we were sleeping. No desk clerk at front desk clerk available Sunday morning at 7:45am.

Great relaxing spot to stay away from the hustle of the strip.

The staff was friendly but not overbearing. The room was very spacious, recently updated, great value! It was kinda nice being a little ways away from Cannery Row and all that chaos, made for a very relaxing retreat.

I had a very pleasureable stay.

The breakfast was very satisfying. I like having the lemon water and coffee available in the hotel lobby. The staff were kind and helpful. The location is away from the business district which I liked.

The mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps a mattress cushion would be nice.

WiFi slow. Breakfast packed with people and kids so was unable to enjoy because of long wait lines and running out of supplies. Had to go to Starbucks up the road.

Friday night was good. Saturday night was louder with hearing neighbors talking, noise, water/shower.

Nice stay near Monterey

Very nice hotel near Monterey, ideal as a stop on the westcoast (parking available). Fairly spacious and tidy room with comfortable beds and big bathroom. There is a walmart across the street.
