Everything from start to finish was great. Breakfast was good and looked like it was kept clean and tidy.

The room was clean. Breakfast very basic.

Clean room. Friendly staff. The beer on tap system was a bit confusing. The room was good. The sliding bathroom door sacrificed privacy for design. Not a bad stay, Hampton Inn is close to Walmart and other shops.

First time staying there , always stays at motel 6 next door. The staff that checked me in was really helpful , work out area was very clean and fun to use , swimming pool was peaceful , everything about my stay was Perfect

When I arrived, I received a complimentary suite upgrade that was greatly appreciated. The king bed suite was fabulous. Couch and desk with ample room. The bathroom was also large and had a walk-in shower which is much appreciated. The breakfast was also very good. It's great when you can get a hot breakfast. I visit friends often in the Monterey area. The Hampton Inn will be my go-to hotel in the future. They are also pet-friendly so my furry friend will make the trip next time. Thank you!

Manager and staff were less than hospitable, attitudes were unfriendly and sometimes downright rude (multiple times using profanity). Room was clean and comfortable. Spotted 2 baby cockroaches near the trash can in the bathroom. Parking was impossible due to staff allowing CalTrans trucks to take up multiple spaces (one of them taking up 5 alone). Will not be returning.

Everything was great except the heater for the pool which was out of service. However, the pool was still open

Clean room, comfortable bed

Pros: the bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was decent - two flavors of waffle batter, some type of egg and some type of meat. The furnishings were modern. Cons: black mold in the shower, hair dryer only worked on low. I had to work 7a-7p each day I was there so every time I called the front desk it was the night shift employee who does not have access to the housekeeping storage to get a new hair dryer. He also said he would tell maintenance about the black mold but no one ever came so I cleaned it as well as I could with a paper towel. Won’t be staying here on my next work trip.

Mediocre breakfast. Room was very expensive.

Spacious suite. I would ask if cleaning staff could check for spiders. We found 2 upon arriving and we had an infant crawling around. Otherwise good hotel and staff was friendly!

Super clean, Staff so nice and great breakfast.

The mattresses were so uncomfortable that we couldn’t sleep. We were on a family vacation and stayed at 5 different hotels along the way. This was by far the most expensive, and was by far the most uncomfortable. Staff was nice and the room was clean. If you don’t want to get a good nights sleep I highly recommend.

We had a great stay and usually stay here when visiting family. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the breakfast provides many options. The staff is helpful and readily available. I’d recommend as it’s close to the Peninsula as well as Santa Cruz and not too far from SJC.

Clean room, safety, quiet location and lots of parking space.

Sole reason to stay here was the Indoor Heated Pool which kids requested. However, the Pool heater was not working and Hotels.com does not tell you at the time of booking. You find it out only at check-in when it is too late to cancel. Not sure what can be done about such issues. Maybe best is to call hotel to check it before booking.

Mixed Experience: Excellent Staff Offset by Major Facility and Noise Issues ​Overall Rating: 3/5 (Neutral, reflecting balance between staff service and facility failures) ​Room & Comfort ​Noise/Soundproofing: The most significant drawback of our stay was the lack of adequate soundproofing in the room. Noise from both the hallway and adjacent rooms was clearly audible, making it difficult to rest. This level of ambient noise suggests rooms were not sufficiently insulated, and we were also highly conscious that our own activities and conversations were likely disturbing our neighbors. ​Amenities & Facilities ​Pool Facility (Major Issue): We selected this hotel specifically for the promise of a heated pool advertised on the property's website. We were extremely disappointed to find the pool facility was non-operational during our stay. This was a significant letdown, particularly for our children, for whom the pool was a major factor in choosing the accommodation. This amenity was either broken or misrepresented, which negatively impacted the overall stay experience. ​Dining & Service ​Breakfast Quality: The provided breakfast was average in quality and variety, meeting basic expectations without standing out. ​Staff Service (Highlight): The kitchen and dining staff were the absolute highlight of our stay. Nicest Hampton Inn of the many I have stayed in. The king bed room and bathroom were unusually spacious. Everything was modern and new. The cleanliness, staff, and breakfast were all excellent, as usual.

The property was recently built or renovated. Which was a pleasant surprise as it has a very clean feeling to it. During check-in, there were signs stating the pool heater wasn’t working, and they were sorry for the inconvenience. Typically, for myself, no issue at all, however; for my three small kids, it was spoiled the whole weekend (lol),

We had the best stay this hotel is walkable distance from the beach. It is clean, beautiful, and the staff are so kind. We will definitely stay here again.
