The location was perfect, the facility was excellent, and the staff was incredibly helpful and professional.

Relaxing and beautiful.

Everything was fabulous! The staff was amazing. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. Made the trip special. It was my 50th birthday. We got room upgraded and they brought champagne. The massage I hd was amazing. Restaurant service and food was great. The bonfires at night were awesome. Really really enjoyed our trip!!!

Loved the location and staff, but it simply wasn’t the sanctuary we paid for.

Absolutely breathtaking location. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and we were so close to the ocean we could feel the waves thudding through the room. The fireplace added the perfect cozy touch, though it would be nice to have an option to turn it fully off. We loved all the dog-friendly perks — the stick library, easy beach access, and how genuinely welcoming they were to pets. Full room service, including in-room dining, was a great convenience. They also made us feel special for our anniversary with flowers, dessert, champagne, and a card, though it was addressed only to “Mrs.” rather than to both of us. Room service was impressively quick, pickup was prompt, and the staff was very friendly.

The noise was a major downside. Doors slammed constantly, walls rattled, and both sets of neighbors during our three-night stay were extremely loud. We often had to keep the sliding door shut. Morning maintenance was also noisy starting at 8 AM. The food was overpriced and underwhelming — the $27 continental breakfast included only toast, fruit, and juice (coffee extra). Overall, the noise and food quality made it difficult to fully enjoy the stay. We have no photos to share because we were cranky.

Nice location, private beach

Didn’t like the fact that property y is listed as Ocean front when it’s really an ocean view. I shouldn’t be able to see other rooms when viewing the ocean if it’s truly an ocean front room. Should also have walking paths from the room patio to access the beach instead of having to walk around other rooms to get to the beach.

Campfire on the beach just lovely The suite is very lovely for family and restaurant very good they barbecue is incredibile and the location is just unforgettable is near Carmel by sea one of the amazing place in Caifornia. We had long walking on yhe beach and the hotel jad amazing spa treatment! We will be back

Happy yorkie, happy wife, happy life.

The location of our room was the best view and you can hear the sea waves while relaxing at the comfort of our bed. We celebrated the 1st birthday of our Furbaby Yorkie at the resort and was suprised with a birthday balloon and a bone treat in a bowl written with "Happy 1st Birthday Sophie! " for her. 😊

Nice stay on the beach!

Stepping right onto ocean's sand from our room was really cool. Room was lovely and clean. We kept our ebikes in the room which made it a little tight but we had an option to leave them in a storage area but wanted them at our "beck in call." The breakfast of yogurt and fruit was delicious but a little pricey.

We had dinner reservations at the wharf both nights that we stayed. I would have liked an opportunity to eat at the restaurant on site but their hours are very limited. It would of been nice to have breakfast or lunch there.

Expensive for an average room with little privacy from other guests and a noisy staff

A beautiful location on Monterey Bay

The staff was very noisy, whether they were delivering roomservice, conducting room cleaning or driving their golf carts around the premises they always made alot of noise and drove the golf carts very fast. The room was bit run down with inadequate lighting, there was lighting but it was too bright or in the wrong place or didn't have a dimmer. The bar area especially needs additional lighting above the sink. In addition, due to the way the rooms were designed there was little privacy from the other guests.

Good stay could have been great without noise issues

Thin walls; had a noisy neighbor whose dog constantly barked; and neighbors were very loud arguing after midnight . Maybe facility should have a noise limit. My wife complained the next morning and the only response was from the front desk is that the couple was checking out

A great dose of rustic beach and coziness forus desert dwellers!

Property was lovely and staff very nice. Rooms clean, bed super comfy and a fireplace a plus.

Would have liked “ boardwalk” path to beach ( disabled) A small folding table or coffee table should be available for food service. A step stool would have made getting onto the bed easier. Very high!

Restful ocean get away

The property was right on the ocean with lovely little cottages to stay in. We were able to leave the window and doors open and here the waves all night long.

Parking is not close to the units due to it being protected, dune area, In the past they provided a golf cart to get to your unit.

This location was absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and well stocked. The staff were very hospitable.

If I had to say anything, it would be that we lost power. The outage was resolved swiftly though.

Lovely beach resort

I love that it's on the beach. The nightly bon fires, the beautiful grounds & decor & the amenities.

I didn't like that they didn't include spoons in their silverware sets. It's a bit more pricey than it should be, and the bathroom sink didn't have good drainage.

The restaurant was horrible. Overly expensive, not great service, food was mediocre. Ordered an Irish coffee for dessert & a plain, cold cup of coffee was given instead. We were told the bartender didn’t know how to make an Irish coffee…what? Horrible experience all around. Breakfast was served cold to our room. Thankfully we had a microwave to reheat it but at $32 per plate we expected good hot food. It was neither.

Room was bright, well appointed. Amazing beach/ocean view. Golf cart transport to & from lodge, room or restaurant was very helpful considering the contour of the property. Walking the beach was beautiful .

A safety feature of a better night light in the bathroom area would had been helpful. The main area is completely dark- great for sleep, not good for finding bathroom in the dark

I love the location , right on a beautiful beach . The grounds were well kept . The room was cozy and comfortable. The pool was nice with a giant hot tub. Love it all !

There is no heater or air conditioning so you have to open the window or sliding door which at night doesn’t feel safe being on an open beach. It would be a different feel for second floor rooms.

The location and rooms were absolutely beautiful. The restaurant was also phenomenal. Some of the best room service we’ve ever had.

For high season prices $1000+ a night I expect luxury and I expect above all else a quiet room. No amount of frette sheets makes up for a room where I have to use a white noise machine and still hear every step of an upstairs room. Totally unacceptable and ruined the stay. The staff also said there is no way to designate a top room when booking.
